Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 2)

I know this is an old topic, but is it a widely believed head canon for "Agents of SHIELD is still canon" folks (like me and many others here) that direct contact with the extra-dimensional Monolith shielded the agents from the Snap's effects? (No pun intended)
Personally, my head canon is just ignoring AOS seasons 6 and 7.

"My head-canon is to ignore canon"? Couldn't you just say that they were incredibly lucky instead? What, do you ignore Runaways S3 as well?

I'm sorry, but I hate those types of head-canons to be honest with you. Head-canons should be used to enrich the canon, not destroy it. Especially when there is no reason to ignore it because it literally doesn't contradict anything. :(
(I want to say that I'm not trying to be rude, but it just makes me sad - no way will Marvel ignore S6-7 when Quake returns)

Actually it could be both 2024 or 2025, there's no real evidence to prove anything, it's just because it is closer to the 8 years, 7 months and 6 days line and Gunn mentioned he doesn't thinks it takes place 2 years after Endgame, but it could easilly take place on 2025
I've given evidence it leans more into 2024 than 2025, but at this point this forum will do what it wants, sources be damned. I've stopped worrying about it and just keep my own timeline up to date.

So, I just rewatched Age of Ultron, and is there any particular reason why the ending at the Avengers Compound is only a month after the rest of the movie? Laura tells Clint that "in a few months" they'll be outnumbered. Which to me makes it seem like Nathanial's birth should be around July. Plus it gives more time for the Stark Industries facility to be renovated into the early stages of the compound and determining where we end up with Love & Thunder's placement, it gives the Thor and Jane break-up more time. If you want to assume it did happen before he left Earth at the end of the movie.
I agree. The last time I watched it I thought the same thing about Nathanial's birth being a few months after the farm scene.

I just rewatched the movie and I didn't see anything pointing specifically to 2024 or 2025.
2024 must be a busy year lol.
Which is why I'm personally placing the stuff Disney + has after Hawkeye (clearly December 2024) as 2025. Not saying everyone has to, but I personally don't see any contradictions the way I do with Shang-Chi and Eternals. I just hope as projects become more connected again, there's less vagueness within the actual projects on when they're taking place.

Any opportunity to plug the timeline.

2018 has its own tab on page 1. That's because it consists of Iron Fist Season 2, Runaways Season 2, What If Episodes, Jessica Jones Season 3, The Punisher Season 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, AOS Season 5 episodes, AOS Season 6, AOS Season 7, Avengers Infinity War, parts of Avengers Endgame, parts of Captain Marvel, and Runaways Season 3.

But for some reason, 2024 is just too busy and we have to agree with the D+ timeline again and move things into 2025.

I think this thread needs to take a poll and decide if the timeline is going to be followed or not. If it is, then all we are doing is making time stamps and I don't need to keep coming back here. There's several articles out there about it being wrong, but we keep coming back to it when placements are vague and bending over backwards to make it fit the narrative here.

Yea I agree this whole "But the Disney+ timeline says..." notion needs to die. I personally don't give a rip what Disney says. I'm going with what the actual internal evidence as presented by the films and series themselves tells us.

I call the Disney + timeline out when I believe it's wrong, but that doesn't mean I'll cancel it out entirely, especially when the shows and movies themselves are vague enough to where placements fit. The difference with 2018, is that a majority of the projects set there specifically confirm it. AoS S6 and S7 are 2019 and 2020 during their present day scenes, so I don't get where you're thinking they're a part of 2018. There's nothing in Moon Knight, She-Hulk, or Love & Thunder that specifically say they have to be 2024 or 2025 (Ms. Marvel has the inspection date) and right now it's all speculative. So, I don't see the need to squeeze everything into 2024. Im not saying the Disney + placement should be 100% the go to, but if there aren't contradictions, I don't see the issue.

I don't see anything specific in the stuff Disney + has set in 2025 to say either way whether they're 2024 or 2025 (besides Ms. Marvel). Right now it all boils down to one's own opinion.

I agree, let's please take a true poll. I'm fine with she Hulk being 2025 for the time being, but the evidence toward 2024 Thor and moon knight is overwhelming.
And we either follow the Disney timeline, or we don't. It feels like an inbetween stance is just causing discourse.
But I agree that all we're doing at this point is making timestamps. The Disney timeline has proven time and time again that it can't be trusted but we still keep going back to it with "welllllll, this is vague so Disney it is"

I definitely don't want to come off as confrontational or stir up trouble, but I have exact dates that fit perfectly with Moon Knight being in 2024 that line up with the dates shown in-show. And by extension, if Moon Knight is placed there, Thor will more than likely have to follow due to the connection.

I'm not saying that we have to do exactly what I say or anything like that, but I think a vote is necessary for at LEAST these 2 projects.
DIrish always went by majority vote. He went by majority vote even when he didn't agree. He placed Plenty of timestamps where he didn't necessarily agree. I feel like we should stay true to that system. I've never admired someone's meticulousness as much as I admired David's.

If we don't do a vote, then all we're doing is going back and forth while the timeline just continues to have everything in air date order. And crowdedness is not a valid reason to place anything unless it would completely contradict.

My thing is I don't see anything contradictory saying Moon Knight and Love & Thunder can't be in 2024 or 2025 and right now it's all based on our own speculation. I know a lot on here want to base Moon Knight off the phases, but I personally don't feel like it's enough. But, yes I agree a vote is a good idea and hopefully there's less vagueness in projects moving forward. I feel like Ms. Marvel showing a 2025 date is a good start. I'll go with any decision made by the majority, even if I may personally disagree.

This whole thread started on speculation and clues hidden within films. But it's purpose is to lock things down so that when someone else comes here they can see how it all fits together and if they have questions they can post and ask. Like I said before you champion for 2025 on these projects but your reasons are almost always 'the D+ timeline says' or '2024 is overcrowded' both of which are your opinion and they aren't shared by everyone here. I base my timeline on what is present in the films and shows, not whatever whim I'm feeling about the crowdedness of a year or something that has been proven wrong over and over again on here.

This thread used to use what was in the films and shows to present arguments to lock in dates. If we are just going to go with D+, which for the umpteenth time is wrong, then I don't need to be coming here anymore as Marvel is doing the work for us. There's no reason to continue this thread. I have given reasons why both projects are 2024 and not 2025 WITHOUT resorting to the incorrect timeline or feeling like there's too much going on in 2024.

Now before you feel like I'm attacking you simply because, I do agree with everyone here, that She-Hulk and Ms Marvel are 2025, there is evidence in both supporting those placements. And for the record, if say the Christmas Special places Thor after Ms Marvel, then so be it. I'll gladly change my tune. Keep in mind it wasn't until Civil War, EIGHT YEARS AFTER THE FACT that Iron Man got its 2008 placement cemented. So things can change.

But the purpose of this thread is to keep it accurate as much as possible using the final products they give us. That is where ALL evidence should start before we start going off into Gunn's comments (who didn't work on MK or Thor), or the Russo's (who don't direct for Marvel right now), or some random YTer (which the evidence he used from a forum comment is not priority evidence but the original post should be looked at before him), etc. The D+ timeline is STILL wrong and contradicts things calling other parts of the MCU canonicity into question.

The goal is not to make it fit your opinion or mine, it is to present the evidence and get these things locked into their correct timeline slots for anyone to view and see.

I ignore Runaways all together lol. Haven't seen a single episode and I'll never watch it, same way I'll never was AOS seasons 6-7 again.

Season 5 was the perfect finale. Should have stopped the. And I suppose we'll see about Quake.

I get everything you're saying. I agree 100% that the final product should be the main source used. I just personally don't see anything in either Moon Knight or Love & Thunder that place them to a specific year. Which is why there's been so much debate on their placements in the first place. BEJT from the wiki timeline has evidence for Moon Knight in 2025 as well and I feel like the consensus there is leaning more towards 2025. When I created my personal timeline, my goal was to keep it as accurate as possible, which is why I'm taking all the available information and determining what comes off more accurate to me. If no one else on here comes to the same conclusion, I completely understand. Like I've said hopefully in the future there is less vagueness and it's much easier for everyone to come up with the same consensus.
