Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 2)

Can y'all just allow Marvel be respectful of one of their own's Death for 1 movie? Just 1? Like Damn. I'm sure this isn't the end of Tchalla as a character. Let them breathe for a minute from a highly significant loss

I'm sorry but I gotta disagree with every sentence here...

It's not just one movie that's lost T'Challa, it's the entire franchise, both the Black Panther films and MCU as a whole

This is litterally the end of T'Challa, they're killing him off screen and then jumping a year forward.

This isn't them breathing after a significant loss, breathing after a significant loss would be stopping production of the film until such a time as they can move forward with the character. I mean before Boseman's death the films was set for release in May 2022, it was only delayed by 6 months to November. That's not a breath, this isnt even the longest delay a Marvel film has seen.

I think this comes from the interview with Variety ... But the second photo I can't identify in the article

Posting here in case anyone wants to discuss, I haven't seen it yet so idk how it lines up with the timeline here

Geekritique's Placement is Summer 2025 ending in August. Always nice when everyone's ideas line up

Yeah, hopefully as projects get away from COVID issues resulting in their vagueness, there's more concrete evidence within movies and shows that everyone can agree on.

You have no idea what Marvel is planning to do. You don't know that this is the end of Tchalla. Sure, they may be killing him in this movie, but no one has any idea of the future.
The team on this movie had their world turned upside down when Chadwick died. They're doing their best with the tools they had. Things can change in the future. These are properties based on comic books where no one ever stays dead. Just enjoy this film that they scrambled together to salvage, that looks amazing, may I add, and then worry about it afterward?
Like, I don't think y'all understand how disrespectful you sound right now?
"He wasn't black Panther. Forget about Chadwick, anyone can play him. Doesn't matter, as long as I have my little character"
This is a real person, with real family and real friends and real relationships that it sounds like everyone adored. This was a hit on everyone. Fans feel so entitled "real fans deserve this" "you aren't thinking about the fans"
This is a real life person. Let Marvel do what they're gonna do. I'm sure it'll turn out fine

Oh boy there's a lot to unpack here but I'll try to do this in the politest way I can and I suggest if you want to continue discussing this, you try to be respectful as well. You can disagree and not be insulting and as before I have to disagree with every sentence here

They're killing T'Challa have said they won't recast. That is their plan for the future. And if they just are going to hypothetically recast anyway then they should've delayed this film until then or set this film in a way where they don't need T'Challa (like during the snap)

My point is they shouldn't have "scrambled together" a film to "salvage" it. I'm sorry a 6 month delay only for the detah of the titular character's actor? If their decisions were truly about honoring Boseman, this film wouldn't have rushed it's production during this time.

Like, I don't think y'all understand how disrespectful you sound right now?
Quite frankly everyone here has been very respectful of the fact that Boseman loss was very tragic and a difficult situation either way. But people can still respectfully disagree. What you're doing coming here and insulting people because of it however is not respectful. Save that for Reddit, you'll fit right in there.

"He wasn't black Panther. Forget about Chadwick, anyone can play him. Doesn't matter, as long as I have my little character"
No one has said this so I don't know why it's in quotations. You want to quote us do it properly. But as you said, Chadwick Boseman is not Black Panther. But no one wants to forget him, he will always be missed. This isn't about "having our little chatacter" for me at least this is about properly honoring Boseman. I honestly find the fact that they just wrote his character out of the universe and moved on with the franchise as quickly as possible with, as a said before, a minor 6 month delay far more disrespectful than giving this film and the people involved the time it needed to mourn, recast and resume properly

Yes he is a real person with real family. A family who has commented on the fact that T'Challa and all the character means shouldn't die with him and if they properly wanted to honor Boseman they'd have him live on.

Let Marvel do what they're gonna do. I'm sure it'll turn out fine
No one has said the film won't be fine, in fact I think most here have spoken highly about the fact that it looks great. But you should never let a company "do what they're gonna do" when you think it was a wrong decision. If people think a company they support could've made a better call they have every right to voice it.

Ok. I admit I went a little off the rails. The comments I've been seeing really rubbed me the wrong way. And maybe i have been scrolling reddit a little too much lately. But I get passionate when it comes to human empathy. And the comments about recasting seem very lacking in empathy to me. It really does feel like a fan entitlement thing to me.

I believe that the team at Marvel is getting things done the way that they think is right and the way that they believe will honor their friend in the best way possible. And I personally agree with them. I truly don't believe that this is the end of Tchalla. I'm sure we'll see him again in someway or another. Marvel is very creative when it comes to issues like these. I'm not super worried about it, personally. I trust their decision and believe that they will do what they need to do to have Respect for their Friend's death while also trying to keep fans happy.

(I Discarded the Betty Brandt Tik Toks because they make less Canonical sense in the extended cut because Betty working for the daily bugle isn't referenced or shown in any of the new footage and it doesn't make sense timeline wise so they repurposed some stuff like the Betty brant interviews for the high school instead of the daily bugle)

I'd prefer it to take place in 2025 or 26' to connect in a closer way to the next Avengers movie where Kang will be the main antagonist and it'd make more sense, obviously late 2023-mid 2024 is an option
