Star Wars is an expansive and rich enough universe in its initial iteration that I don't think it needs a reboot, nor should it ever. Finish off the next trilogy to complete the 9 part epic, then focus on side stories/origin films/spin offs, and maybe down the road look into doing another trilogy, TV series, etc.
I think Star Wars has a rabid and loyal enough fanbase not to ever need a reboot, let alone get away with attempting it. Fan backlash would be incredible. It's such a classic series, even with the missteps of the prequels, that rebooting it is tantamount to rebooting The Godfather trilogy...what's the point?
