Exactly. The thing is, these days, girls are looking for more than a cute face. They want to find somebody who can offer something more to the table than a nice smile or whatever.

Well, you see, up until last June, I was still in high school, and not all high school girls fall into that stereotypical mold of being extremely shallow and going for the super attractive guy over the nice guy.

Well what you guys forget is that the Ultiverse MJ was somewhat of a book nerd, too.

Hmm... When I first saw the covers to the Silver Sable arc, with this issue in particular, I thought to myself "Wow, she looks like MJ, but with a different hair color." It might be just me, then.

I haven't posted on here in months and all I have to say is... Kitty Pryde is really hot. Actually, I have more to say than that. Has anybody else noticed how Bagley's art has changed a bit in this issue? Like for instance, Peter and MJ looked a bit older than they have in previous issues...

So as to not confuse casual Marvel fans that don't have knowledge about The Ultimates. It's a marketing ploy, in my opinion.

You said it yourself: S.H.I.E.L.D. would drop the Ultimates for the Reserves. The nation wouldn't be vulnerable. Sure, the Reserves probably wouldn't do as good a job as the Ultimates, but they'd be doing the job nonetheless. I'm not really in a state of mind where I can remember everything...
