I think Spider-Man: Brand New Day main events will be like in September 2028, after MJ and Ned graduate in MIT in June 2028, they probably graduate in three years, instead of four, since they are smart, they return to New York, then getting a apartment together, leads to Peter reunites with them. I think will be before Born Again S3 (which I think will be in October 2028), but we have to wait and see.

I was right.

I recall some of those biker dudes Frank didn't kill in OG Daredevil s2, because they were hospitalized or arrested…so I guess Frank found a way to take them out offscreen after the fact.

Damn. A dog death in the opening minutes of Punisher: One Last Kill.

Just watched The Punisher Special and as someone who has only seen Jessica Jones and the defenders series out of the Netflix shows I thought it was alright. Does it feel like a complete story, not really, felt more like a high production fan film or a pilot episode for a relaunch of a punisher tv series continuation but I appreciate how much heart and soul it artistically gave us in such a small amount of time for frank.

Anyway timeline wise there really isn't a lot to go on apart from the interview with the director and him saying it's between the punisher s02 and Born Again S02. But I'm more inclined to put this closer to Born Again S02 as frank is done wearing the Netflix skull logo on his outfit, even in the Gnucci murder flashbacks (nevermind he's wearing the Netflix skull in the flashbacks but still has a beard so this must be soon before the special) so I'm guessing this is set between Born Again S01 and S02.

Not sure about the season tbh but because of filming images someone said that they saw a July Poster on location so I'm guessing sometime in July 2027. Looking at the trees it's definitely late spring or summer so July works.

Jan - Early April 2027 - Born Again S01
Mid - Late April 2027 - Brave New World
July 2027 - One Last Kill

Oct 2027 - Born Again S02?

Oct 2027 - Thunderbolts

Oct 2027 - Born Again S02?

Yeah but here is how I see it:
Ma Gnucci is the last living person responsible for the death of Frank's family, indirectly or not. If Frank killed her, his purpose is done. The loop is closed. That's not only the end of Punisher but the end of Frank.

But Frank saw a new purpose: protecting innocents from criminals rather than stalking and hunting whoever was another name to cross off... but Ma would be that last name. In the mean time, Frank feels like its not his time yet regardless.

So whatever Ma and the last of her goons represent is the final MCU Punisher story.

Im sorry, maybe I misrember, but Gnucci was never part of the family murder, right? In S1 he killed part of Gnucci's gang to save a guy, not because revenge (At the time he thought he's done all the job)

while i do agree i think at least the gnucci murders and flashbacks happen between born again 1-2, the disney plus placement at the end is kind of hard to argue with; the girl is in school, so id say it cant be in the window of late june to august, i was looking for the prop that had the july date on it but didnt see it anywhere

my personal take:
Jan - Early April 2027 - Born Again S01
Mid - Late April 2027 - Brave New World
July 2027 - One Last Kill (gnucci kills)
Oct 2027 - Thunderbolts
Oct 2027 - Born Again S02
??? 2028 - One Last Kill

I haven't watched it yet but this "special presentation" feels more like an unmade Netflix episode of the original Punisher show they wanted to throw in somewhere
 
Yay, a repeat of every single MCU Punisher story we've ever seen, complete with the skull showing up only in the last 5 minutes! I love Frank's constant retirement arc. I love how he's barely ever just straight up the Punisher.

You can tell Jon Bernthal really understands Frank by this quote!
"Frank doesn't belong to me. It doesn't belong to Rei. Frank belongs to the fans, belongs to the members of the military, members of law enforcement, people who Frank just exists in their hearts. I do look at it as a responsibility, and I'm honestly astounded that they let us do what we did."

Yeah, uh, maybe the original Born Again plans actually did have Frank push back on the AVTF more than he did and that's why Jon didn't like it. I hope not, but... that's a terrible take he has. Great actor of course, but... wtf? 💀

1989 and War Zone are still the most comic accurate Punishers, I guess. They also don't scream and yell constantly, so that's a bonus.
(I know I'm gonna get flamed on for this take. Sorry! 😭)
 
I do like Jon Bernthal's Punisher, by the way. I just wish he acted a bit more in line with the mainstream counterpart. He looks badass at least. Well, when he decides to actually wear the logo. 😭
 
the biggest timeline issue to me is somehow having this after wonder man, yet before brand new day; i guess this could be days/the day before bnd but it seems like frank is reestablished as the punisher for at least long enough for peter to know him as a typical occurrence

I think we could say that Reports are wrong. There is no room for other gangs to be there. The intention to do a "summary" of S1 and S2 was pretty dumb and I don't know how to connect Frank's decision to be Punisher for the sake of fun and helping people from S2 ending and Frank's decision to be Punisher for the sake of fun and helping people from OLK. No mention to S1 Gnucci neither. I don't know what lessons Frank learned this time and why he is back in the game.
 
Clearly the message by the end is Frank embracing altruism over his selfish drive for vengeance that kept him going all these years.

Ma Gnucci, retcon or whatever, is the last tie to his past that, when she dies (how far into the future that is, I'm not sure), that signifies the end of the Punisher AND Frank's story.
Frank was literally about to spill his brains over his family's grave having thought he took care of all loose ends until he found purpose to keep on living. That purpose: protect families from any tragedy that could befall them like what happened to his.

Punisher goes from anti-hero to hero at this point. He's still a killer, but with the approval of the people he's protecting.

I think some people wanted John Wick but with Punisher and...we already had that. In his show and his other appearances. This is character evolution and I liked this special tbh.

Right now I'm thinking Wonder Man's ending and The Punisher special are both around late Summer 2028 (around August), BND is around Fall 2028 (around October), and Doomsday is around December 2028 (I personally still consider Thunderbolts as October 2027 so based off that and the 14 months later).

It'll be interesting to see when VisionQuest is happening in comparison to these. I feel like somewhere in the second half of 2028 is a best guess for Born Again S3 for now.

Wonder Man - April 2027-August 2028
The Punisher: One Last Kill - September 2028
Spider-Man: Brand New Day - October 2028
Daredevil: Born Again S3 - October 2028
Avengers: Doomsday - November 2028 (for me Thunderbolts* is late September 2027)
