On the Marvel Database Discord, someone suggested merging Heroes United with Earth-12041. Does anyone know if they'd fit? I only watched Iron Man and Hulk when it first came out, but I don't remember much of it.

2 things:
1.) Red Skull is running Hydra and has no "Iron Skull" armor, so he's not running the Cabal anymore by this point but also has his sanity back a la the deaged Tony episode.
2.) Zzzax in the movie has a different origin than the rest of Earth-12041. For starters, he already exists by Ultimate Spider-Man episode 6. In Heroes United, he is created by two Hydra doctors. You could argue it's a different Zzzax....but then again you see that Zzzax design again in Avengers Assemble S1's Odin episode so I dunno. I would argue they're two different Zzzax's.

That's the two main conflicting bits of continuity.

I guess you could stretch out the two movies with a big time gap between, since Red Skull at the end of the first one never meets the Avengers, he's just in hiding.
The first one being pre-USM.

@Mike_Castle one more thing for real, just to clarify, the 2nd Heroes United would have to be LOOONG after the first film chronologically if they were Earth-12041.

This merely serves as further proof that the screenwriters didn't look back at the animated series and planned Heroes United as its own thing. The differences regarding Zzzax make a convincing case that these are distinct universes; however, your explanations for the inconsistencies will hold up if one of the writers or producers officially confirms that the film shares the same continuity as Avengers Assemble.
