Okay, first a disclaimer: I have no particular authority here. I'm not a moderator, and my first post was about a year ago. I've been on other forums for a couple of decades though.

It's always a good idea to check the rules each site has. Unfortunately, The Comic Board's rules have gotten buried. Here they are. I'll see if Blackbeard will pin it to the top of the Announcements sub-forum.

(Apparently there's a 420-character limit for profile posts. Excuse me while I divide up my long post.)

This page here has some good guidelines that apply across any site.

I had some more specific advice, but I lost most of it!

Okay, so most threads here have a very tight focus on keeping a particular timeline up-to-date. Try to stick to the topic.

I'd pick one universe, and catch up on it. You don't have to read all the books and comics, just whatever the core series is.

Then find the discussion thread and read the last few pages of it. It'll be confusing at first, but you'll get a feel for how people interact on this forum.
