Weyland Industries (AVP) merged with the Yutani Corp shortly before/after the events of the AVP films, separated, and then a new company emerged as Weyland Corp in 2012... which then merged with the Yutani Corp in 2099.

Technically if he was born in 2004, which apparently he was, he would be born already in the main timeline. Though you guys should note that Scott and Jean only appear in 2018 and 2023 very briefly in this timeline post-2004, so I don't see how there's any error here.
