Non-Canon story #1: Next Men #21.

The story depicts Hellboy as a comic book character came to life, he even says that he doesn't remember what he was doing before appearing in this story, and to finally top it off, I tought that the monster he was fighting in the comic could be one from Seed of Destruction, but nope, this is a monster original to the comic.

Anyways from an Hellboy standpoint the comic is definetly canon, as it's stated that this is the same Hellboy Mignola likes to draw, so it's main universe Hellboy but we don't know when He got took off from his universe (for sure somewhere between 1952 and 2001) but it's a gap too big to find a precise date, and even if we do, the comic doesn't take place in the Mignolaverse, so we can ignore it.

Non-Canon Story #2: Hi, My Name is Hellboy.

The story breaks the fourth wall, so I can understand if you say that it isn't canon, BUT, it reveals LORE information that is later used in other stories, so I'm closing an eye on this one placing it in 1996, since it foreshadows Wake the Devil.

Non-Canon Story #3: Babe 2 #1-2.

This one doesn't contraditct anything, aside from Abe saying they're from the BPID and not BPRD, tho I don't think it's a big issue, it could be a special division or simply an error.

Anyways I placed it in 1995 as Liz has definetly quitted the BPRD already and you have to know Abe from Seed of Destruction, also it was released in 1995.

Tho I'm placing it before Hi, Mt Name is Hellboy cos of the foreshadow to Wake the Devil.

Non-Conon Story #4: Ghost/Hellboy #1-2.

This one is a clear cut, it doesn't contradict anything and introduces new LORE informations as it is the first time that The Right Hand of Doom is something relevant, one thing that we'll discover in its own short story.

It has also a LORE information which is listed in the Hellboy companion, to be precise, Hellboy appearing on the cover of LIFE Magazine, which happened in December 1994.

Ghost further states that that issue was released a couple of years ago, placing this story in 1996, again, I placed it before Hi, My Name is Hellboy as it foreshadows Wake the Devil.

Non-Canon Story #5: Savage Dragon #34-35.

This story has 2 contradictions that makes it non-canon, tho they were later explained.

Hitler being alive, even tho Rasputin said in a flashback in Wake the Devil that he would die in 6 months; tho knowing Rasputin he could have said it just to manipulate Irma.

Hellboy saying it's the second time he faces Vampires, even tho this story is firmy placed in 1996, so before Wake the Devil, tho later stories depicts Hellboy facing Vampire-related threats in his past, justifying this point aswell.

So in the end it can fit in the canon.

unfortunaly, Savage Dragon is set in the Image Comics Shared Universe with Next Men, who established Hellboy as an in-universe character, meaning that the Hellboy seen there is an alternate version of the one from the comics, making this story Not-Canon.

@Megatron I wanna remind you that Hellboy in Savage Dragon is a variant and the actual Mignola-verse Hellboy is not in the same universe.
Why? Universo, Image's "Galactus" character literally destroys Savage Dragon's Earth in 2002.

The Mignola-verse lives on. Therefore, it's not the same.

I researched Savage Dragon quite a bit in the past few hours.

That OG Earth never gets restored. He remains on Savage World (essentially their "Earth-2", but with some differences to the one Universo gobbled up) til this very day as the comic is ongoing.
