I am now aware that spidey does have a healing factor which I always knew I the back of my head but I just was wondering how strong it was? Could he heal limbs or just gunshot wounds and how long does it take him to heal from something like a bullet wound. ( I know has before overnight but I just want tocomfirm

I had no idea he had any kind of healing factor.

When was this established?

He doesn't really have a "healing factor" per se, but it has been established that he does heal more quickly than a normal human. It's brought up any time he gets really badly trashed by a villain, which isn't often because Spidey is a lighter book. The last time I can think of was in the Morlun stories from JMS' run.

Scale from one to ten though... With a normal person being one and Wolverine being ten... I'd say three. I don't think he could regrow a limb (if we take the MC2/Spider-Girl universe as evidence then he definitely CAN'T regrow a limb). But I think most injuries that a normal person could heal from if they had enough time and didn't bleed to death first, he can heal in a couple of days.

While I don't know if this has been documented by Marvel, I would assume this is the case with any enhanced human.

Following the events of "The Other", Spider-Man permanently had some of his abilities increased, including his healing. During "Civil War" (months after the events of "The Other"), he is ambushed by the Rhino and is injured. However, he heals completely by the end of the issue without medical attention and mentions to Aunt May that he knew he had "always been a fast healer, but lately it seems even more so." Also during "Civil War", Spider-Man is heavily beaten and drugged, suffering multiple fractures and blood loss by the Jack O' Lantern but his injuries heal almost completely by the next issue. However, like many superhuman powers, the effectiveness of Spider-Man's abilities varies based on the author and the needs of the story.[volume & issue needed]
