as u can see, i put the years i placed the 1st matrix as occuring only in 1 year coz, i think that since the machines made 2 beta matrix before the actual 1st one (the paradise and nightmare matrix) I think they wanted to start the cycle project, also i think the 1st matrix would be very easy to spot, and also for not breaking time, since the end of the war with the machines is set in 2199 and the events of the 1st matrix movie in 2699.

This is how I see the Snowpiercer timeline based on Pro Bot's perspective (I'll be ignoring the movies year of 2031)

2019: Part 1: Extinction
2019: Extinction Event
2019: Part 2: Apocalypse
2026: Snowpiercer (TV Show)
2029: The Escape
2035: Snowpiercer (Film)
2036: The Explorers
2036: Terminus

Nonono, you've got it all wrong. Hehe...

1935: Wonka (Film)
1971: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (Film)
2019: Part 1: Extinction
2019: Extinction Event
2019: Part 2: Apocalypse
2027: Snowpiercer (TV Show)
2029: The Escape
2035: Snowpiercer (Film)
2037: The Explorers
2037: Terminus

Why not lol

That would make the 2005 film take place in the 70s or 80s (I would say 1985 is a good bet)

I don't know. I guess they could be the same person perhaps, but they could also be relatives.
I could see this as a case of heavy similarities but nobody actually notices, I don't really like the Wonka and Snowpiercer theory to begin with because why the hell would Charlie want to change his name and become a person like the kids he toured the factory with

We could also pretend that the show Wilford is not actually named Wilford and the show runner's decided to use that name because it was familiar

I think it's hilarious, I love the theory because it's so ridiculous. It's like the Home Alone/Saw theory but technically more plausible.

"No, we stand alone. It goes back to one of the post scripts of the graphic novels, I think the third author said there are as many stories to tell on Snowpiercer as there are trains to circle the Earth. I like that, I think...that sounds like a franchise. So we'll do one here, and then who knows, another train could start up sometime."

I love how the article title and the quote contradict each other, lol.
