Twin Peaks

I heard FWWM was like a prequel and a sequel though. The show's taking place 25 years later. Which is also when Cooper's dream happened...Hmmm

FWWM is a prequel, it's basically the last days of Laura Palmer. But it also introduces some new stuff that's left hanging, mainly two new characters played by David Bowie and Chris Isaak. Especially Bowie's character is left a complete mystery. I would love it if he made a return in the revival show.

I watched the three and a half hour fan edit of Fire Walk With Me last night. I really enjoyed it. Was really cool seeing all the stuff that was referenced in the show. That rape scene was horrifying though. Really want answers though.

David Lynch quit due to Showtime not giving him enough money for the budget. Most of the cast made this video together to help convince Showtime. Looks like social media is going to have to save Twin Peaks!

Well, if that doesn't work, I guess we'll just have to acknowledge that Firefly fans are better than Twin Peaks fans. ;)

"You should be optimistic that the people that you want [back] will be there, and then there will be some surprises in addition."

Nevins concluded that Lynch and Frost are approaching the project as "one long movie," and, having read all of the scripts, offered this critique: "It's very satisfying. There's certain basic questions that I had at the end of the original [show] — given where Agent Cooper is — and I think those questions get answered.. .. Twenty-five years have passed. But it resolves the questions left from the original series."

I recommend downloading the three and a half hours fan cut of the sequel film Fire Walk With Me. It includes all of the deleted scenes from The Missing Pieces. Originally the film was five hours long and Kyle McLachlan's role was incredibly reduced because he was scared of being typecasted. I hope one day the other hour and a half is released, I'd love to see it.

Might need to see if I can squeeze in a rewatch.

Considering it doesn't return until 2017 I think you'll have time.

Took me until about the third episode, but I finally got used to seeing all the actors be ancient and when I hit the fourth I was completely engaged. At times it feels like we are visiting the Old Folks Home, but there's more than enough mystery to propel the plot forward. Really weird seeing
Matthew Lillard
and
Michael Cera
, but their roles are so unlike what I've seen them do that it adds yet another layer of bizarre surrealism. The show feels more layered than ever some how and I'm already totally enthralled. It sucks having to wait until June to see more, but that's what I get for watching all four episodes. Anyone else watching?

No. Also, delete your PMs, your mailbox is full.

I'm watching the new series. It's more trippy than the last time. Poor Coop is getting well and truly whumped, Denise is a surprise and the log still sends its messages.

Some of the scenes are tastefully gross in the way that Lynch does so well. If you haven't watched the first few eps may I suggest not doing so on a full stomach!

As per usual I have no idea what's going on and I not sure if I want to know! However it feels like I'm on the top of the first slope of a rollercoaster. I know I shouldn't have got on in the first place. But it's too late to get off.

So I guess I gotta sit back and enjoy the ride! ;D
