Nightcrawler : His rejection of Peter is good character stuff.

Rogue : I wasn't initially keen on her absorbing Gambit, but I'm getting used to the idea.

Church of Shi'ar Enlightment : This ultimization fell flat with me, but maybe it'll get better. Will the Imperial Guard be religious zealots?

Magician : Ugh. He's thrown into things way too fast. He's instantly adapted to being on the X-Men and he's even somehow figured out his powers although I STILL don't know what they are. At the moment, they seem nearly limitless.

Xavier : He continues to be played up as a bit scary/creepy and I like that.

Sabretooth/Dr Cornelius : I'll have to wait and see where this goes. Looks promising.

The Brotherhood : Um.... WHY did they attack the Academy of Tomorrow? The revenge angle seems weak to me.

Hellfire Club : Hooray! I'd like to see them make a comeback although I haven't liked the Ultimate version nearly as much as the regular one.

The Phoenix : We're really heading towards an apocalyptic event here, aren't we? They're doing a good job of building up the tension here.

They didn't. It wasn't really them. Magician conjured them into existence because he was eager for a fight.

How is that a rip off?

I dont know, if I'm buying trades I want them to be 6-issues. Unless its a miniseries (Supes Red Son...), then shorter trades are cool.

It just seems like a waste to print two 3-issue trades instead of one 6-issue trade.

But the beggining of Kirkman's run is 9 issues. So if it's only 3 issues, its three 3-issue threads. And wouldn't that mean better because the trade will be cheaper?

Hmm.. I didnt even think about that.

It would be weird to have the beginning and middle of the story in one trade, then the conclusion and Cable in the next trade. I guess it makes sense, but I stil dont like it.

And as far as cheaper, I am assuming that as the number of issues goes down, the per issue price goes up. I have no facts or info to back that up though, its purely assumption.

Oh...wait.

I thought you meant the other issues. They wouldn't do that. They'll either have it this way:

3 issue trade

4 issue trade

or

7 issue trade

Both are possiblities, but the former more than the latter. Either way, its not too much on cost.

This is a 6 issue trade, as it collects Date Night and Phoenix?. Magical is being collected with the annual, and then Cable will have his own trade.

Not with how Marvel does it, because their 3 and 4 issues trades are barely less than the 6 issue trades. 2 3-issue trades could be almost twice as much as a 6-issue trade.

OK, now he sounds even dumber and I like the character even less.

I don't really care how many issues go in a trade, but I do like to save money. If putting more issues in a trade means I get a cheaper price per issue, then that's what I want. If it's the same thing any way they do it, then I don't care what they do.
