I thought I would post some ideas on Ultimate versions of random B-list characters. Feel free to comment on them or post your own idea for a B list character:

Ultimate Tigra:

Greer Grant ran away from her home in Ohio to live with her boyfirend Bill Nelson in NYC. However when she moved Nelson quickly became abusive and she ran away from him to. Soon she found herself on the streets, pan handling to survive. One day she was taken from the streets by a team of mercs hired by Roxxon Oil. They took her Roxxon's secret genetics lab, taken because they knew no one would miss homeless person. There she was experimented by the chief genetist, Dr. Joseph Tumulo. She was transformed into a new kind of animal evolutionary, a animal-human hybrid, hald human, half tiger. She was merely the first experiment to create an army of animal-human hybrids to act as Roxxon's personal slaves, doing whatever they wanted her to do. They placed a collar on Grant that will shock her if she disobeys. Now Greer grant can only wait for a chance to escape or die trying.

Ultimate Trapster:

Instead of a guy with a glue gun, I think ultimate Trapster should be a guy obessed with death traps (think of an Ultimate Marvel version of the Jigsaw Killer) . Either he can he a merc who specailizes in using traps to extract information from his victims or he is just a sadist with a lot of time and money on his hands. Unlike the 616 Trapster, who is prone to fits of anger and easily loses control, the Ultimate version of Peter Petruski is very much in control, almost always calm and cool. He doesn't wear a costume, perfering a business suit or perhaps jeans, jacket and plan shirt. Petruski enjoys the sense of control he has over his victims, he can even enjoy a glass of wine while tormenting his vicitms.

Ultimate Egghead:

Dr. Elihas Starr, was once of the top scientists at SHIELD, however, soon he was displaced by Hank Pym and Bruce Banner. He also got very little respect at work, with the other staff nick naming him "Egghead" because of his bookish nature and bald head (his head isn't shaped like a egg in the Ultimate Universe). Tired of the lack of respect he got at SHIELD, Dr. Starr decided to sell SHIELD secrets to the highest bidder, secretly sending out plans for top secret technoloy to any criminal or terrorist, in exchange for a huge sum of money wired into his Swiss bank account.

I think seperate threads would be more appropriate.

How so, these aren't the most popular characters, so threads about them may not get much of a reponse. But I wanted to post some ideas on them anyway, so I thought putting them all in one would be better than cluttering this section with threads that may get no reponse.

This won't get much response either so, really, what's the point?

Excellent ideas there. I had a similar concept, in terms of personality, but I retained the glue gun aspect. He'd glue victims to a chair or wall, then do something distinctive to mark them or disfigure them. John Doe from Se7en was the kind of character I had in mind, or a darker version of Sylar from Heroes, but I think the idea of a Jigsaw Killer type in the Utimate Universe would make an interesting foil for either Daredevil or Punisher, or even Hawk-Owl (if his existence is indeed in continuity).

Oh, and I would have stuck with the Paste Pot Pete name, just because that sounds more vicious and menacing as a serial killer's nickname, compared to the more "super-villainous"-sounding Trapster.

But if his gimmick is death traps, I think a name like Trapster fits. Paste Pot Pete sounds like a mascot for a glue company. Personally 616 Trapster was one of those villains who never made any sense, he invented some of the most powerful adhesives in the world, but instead of marketing them, he uses them to rob banks. He could have made millions legitimately, but he didn't and they never gave a good reason why he did that. I think a focus on death traps in more interesting than a focus on adhesives.

Actually, there are a number of 616 B-listers who could conceivably be Ultimized into genuinely menacing characters, if they were placed into the context, against human (rather than super-human) protagonists. Maybe a series that's like a UU version of Gotham Central or Powers, with officers from a Super-Powered Crimes unit of the NYPD investigating crimes with a bizzare twist.

In fact, that could be a good way to introduce Hannibal King into the UU -- same personality, and outloook towards life, but he's a legit police officer, rather than a private detective. And he's not an ex-vampire, just a baseline human (or if he is, he's hiding it from other people in the force).

Insane, genuis killers are more intriguing than super-powered ones, though Sylar from Heroes is both. Tombstone could be one, without his crazy strength. Or Bullseye being an amazing marksman ( think hired assasin), but no powers.

That could be interesting, but I think a lot of B list villains could be threats to street level heroes. I don't think Ultimate writers focus enough on revamping B list villains into threatening or intresting characters, mostly they off as thugs or jokes. The police idea is interesting though.

That is why Batman's rogues gallery is the best in comics, not many super powered foes, mainly just foes with with no powers, interesting personalities and a whole lotta brains. It seems though that most non super powered villains outside of Kingpin, are threated like jokes in the Ultimate Universe and I think that's a bit of a shame.
