I could of sworn there was a thread for this

First Whedon is off Wonder Woman now David Goyer is off The Flash for the same exact reason.

I am sad to say that my version of The Flash is dead at WB. The God's honest truth is that WB and myself simply couldn't agree on what would make for a cool Flash film. I'm quite proud of the screenplay I turned it. I threw my heart into it and I genuinely think it would've been the basis of a ground-breaking film. But as of now, the studio is heading off in a completely different direction. I expect you'll hear of some new developments on that front shortly.

What the hell WB? you sabotaging all your comic book movies prospects? I recall Goyer's basic idea for Flash and it sounded good, how he was going to play up the legacy aspect with Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West and focus on the speed force which sounded like a good route.

I didn't want Ryan Reynolds as Flash, but I was looking forward to this.

I agree, as long as Flash isn't written to his style of comedy
I imagine that Reynolds is not stupid enough to be unable to learn restraint. I mean, Jim Carrey learned restraint and you'd have to admit it's worked for him in other roles (regardless of what you think of his actual comedy).

I sort of picture Reynolds' Flash being written more like the JLU incarnations of Flash and maybe a bit of the Booster Gold from that show.

I actually liked the idea of Reynolds as Flash. He's not my first choice, but I was looking forward to him in the role.

I really liked the idea of Reynolds ad The Flash.

...but his as Booster? ****ing perfect. Screw Deadpool.

I (literally) just got back from seeing "Smokin' Aces" and Reynolds did a fantastic job. (Awesome movie, too by the way).

I could see him playing the Flash and it's almost like got created him for the sole purpose of being Booster Gold (who, unfortunetly will probably never get his own movie). But MWF is right...he would also make a great Deadpool.

I think Ryan Reynolds is a damn good choice for the Flash. I like the idea of Ryan Reynolds as a cocky-*** Barry Allen, with older Flashes being more stable, serious mentors to him.

Although, MWoF hit the nail on the head. Deadpool is the role Ryan Reynolds was made for. and Booster Gold is almost as perfect.

And the new Flash director is, Shawn Levy, the guy who directed Cheaper By The Dozen, Just Married, and The Pink Panther. Now I'm pissed, it seems that Goyer's script was too dark and they wanted a lighter version.

CBR:

In other DC news, director David Dobkin told MTV that he's going to be directing a film based on the fastest man alive, as a spin-off of the "Justice League" movie with Wally West as the titular hero.

I dont like this. I was hoping Flash could be set, potentially, in the same universe as Batman Begins and Superman Returns, making the geek's dream of a continuity based movies

Actually, if it's any consolation it will be set in the same universe as Justice League.

From same MTV article, but this time as linked by Superhero Hype!:

Dobkin says his adaptation won't be the character's first appearance in theaters, with the Flash a major part of George Miller's Justice League movie. Dobkin confirmed that his movie will be set in the same universe as Justice League as a direct spin-off.

It's not, my problem is that JL is already in a different Universe than SR and BB (due to the comment that they want those characters to go in another direction, which is fine) But I want all the live action properties to potentially exist in the same universe keeping alive the ultimate dream of a live action, in continuity JL movie.
But BB and SR clearly don't take place in the same universe as each other in the first place.
What's your empirical evidence towards this? Cause I saw no indications of contradiction, besides SR's loose connection to the Reeves movies.
