I'm totally jonesing for new Fantastic Four stuff to consume, but between the largely "meh"ed Ultimate Fantastic Four and the elaborate continuity probably necessary to enjoy the 616 title's relationship to Civil War I have nothing to pick up.

So...

Did anybody pick up Marvel 1602: The Fantastick Four? Thoughts? How was it?

Re: Marvel 1602: The Fantastick Four

Is it over?

I've read the first four, I think, and they were pretty good. The story is decent, but the art is kind of... dirty. I don't think it fits the Fantastic Four.

It's not as good as the original 1602, but I'd say it's better than the New World mini.

I dig it. I pretty agree with Proj. Not on the same level of the original but way better than New World.

Shouldnt this go in the regulare marvel part?..just sayong

But yeah it was cool.....but some things where un realistic...I mean how come human torch's pants didnt burn?

And the 616 f4 been ok..I mean the Thing is in france how cool is that?

I haven't read this (or any 1602 for that matter), but Peter David was talking about it and shared some lines from it at the last Wizard World Chicago and it sounded like it might be pretty good.

As something completely unessential to the MU at large though, I passed. Might get trade, but only after the other 1602 stuff, and especially if another 1602 series is announced. I love these little pocket universes.

You must read the original. One of the greatest comics ever. I mean ever.
