Here's your main thread the news will be posted in first.

And here's your programming schedule for the weekend.

No Ultimate Panel that I saw. Hopefully for Wizard World LA, but they don't have any programming up yet.

JIMMY OLSEN MUST DIE

I got my picture taken with Greg Rucka, bumped shoulders with George Perez and Brian K. Vaughan, and got a copy of BKV's The Hood TPB.

I'm looking forward to the panels tomorrow.

And the DC NATION panel kicked ***.

All this has doubled my resolve to get out to Wizard World in Philidelphia.

Bendis/ Maleev on Halo is going to be radical. I can't wait to see how this all pans out; I really did not expect these two.

The Nico cover has me drooling, though I'm a little bothered by how adult she looks. I hope Alphona does that issue's interiors...

Spoiler for the Countdown image that was released at the ned!

Dan Didio inadvertently answered that the Flash in the teaser image released several weeks ago is Barry Allen and Red Robin is Jason Todd..

He was then needled by Bob Wayne for it.

I went to talk to Didio after the panel to ask about internships and whatnot... But he was chatting quietly with Bob Wayne and I overheard some of it.

The thing he spoiled was Barry Allen, and he was genuinely happy that people seemed to think Jason was Red Robin.

I might have misheard, but yeah.

Some interesting tidbits there.

Marvel are doing a series like Annihilation, but for the magic users in the Marvel Universe.

There's a New Avengers/Transformers crossover.

And Bendis and Maleev are doing Halo?!

Joe Mad is "finishing" Ultimates 3 issue 2. He isn't even done with two issues, a year and a half after his deal with Marvel was announced.

We still have until June for Ultimates 2 13 and I don't think he started drawing in the exact time Joe Q called him...
..or maybe I really like his art and Im trying to be positive about this. Anyway even if he finished all the Ultimates 3, it would be released in, like, August.

Well, figure it was announced in August of 2005. Let's be charitable and say after all the sketches and everything and getting scripts from Loeb he starts drawing in January of 2006. That's still 13 months and not even two complete issues. Yes, we have until May or whenever for Ultimates 2 to end, but then what?

Do they wait until the whole series is finished to release Ultimates 3? At this rate that would take three years. Other books are hinging on this book being released, not the least of which is Ultimates 4, which has already been announced with an artist and will be a kind of follow-up to Ultimate Power.

It's not a Wolverine/Hulk situation where that book could be shuffled off and basically ignored. This is a big deal.

I'd just as soon see McGuiness finish the last four issues of Ultimates 3.

That kid who brought up the Hulk/Symbiote thing must of been so happy. That sounded like a feel good moment.

I was there. It really was. I was happy for the kid cause the whole panel and the audience erupted into kind of a collective "oh, s***, YEAH!!!" moment. i really wouldn't be surprised to see the hulk/venom now at some point.
