I cannot play them anymore. They scare the living **** outta me. I once was playing a game where you take pictures of ghosts (XBox game- forgot title). I stopped because I just got too scared. Yeah, a pansy and all that. But the hell with it! I rather watch scary movies then play scary games.

It's too much. :scared:

The first Tomb Raider used to scare the crap out of me. At the end with the dinosaur. I got really involved in it and when you start hearing the roaring then you have a giant freaking T-Rex chasing you. Damn.

I'm not a big video game guy so I can't really speak to the horror games, but I can understand how they could be scary.

I can't play horror games alone. I always play with some friends, that way I can finish the game without crying like a baby. The problem is the night after...

OMG the ghost picture game! This guy I knew was so obsessed with it and wouldn't stop talking about it! He loved that game! What was it, Final Frame? Something to do with photos...

Ack!

system shock 2 is the scariest game i ever played. what didnt help was my friend and i would play it together, taking turns. but we would have the volume on loud and the lights out plus we would panic like **** increasing the terror.

The latest scary game I've played was Silent Hill 4. I can't play it alone so I can't finish it, I'm, like, almost ending the game, but my friends never come here so I wont play

I know exactly how you feel. I have two or three horror games friends gave me, but I'm too chicken to play them alone. They're really fun when you have a lot of people over and you can play Mystery Science Theater 2000.

Fatal Frame... its really scary...
Close enough....

My roomate has that game. He plays it sometimes. It's pretty scary I guess. I haven't played it myself though, I imagine it's scarier to play than watch.
It is. It sounded great when I was told about it. When I started playing it...my heart started racing as I played through. I was borrowing the game and my friend kept asking me about it. I had another friend who played it tell me the ending and I told it to my friend so he'd think I had beaten it.

I just find them boring is all. The last time I was scared by a game was while reading the diary from the first Resident Evil for PS1.

I've just never got into them. Same with horror movies though.

I'm not a big fan of them anymore, in terms of story. Some are good, most are not. But I'm too scared to even try them anymore.

There was another one for the Xbox that I watched my brother play...crap. Forgot the title, too. It was a guy who was experimented on while in a prison that was on some island. It had a sequel. Watching it I got a little scared. Never tried playing it.

The only time they bother me is when I play them at night with no lights on. Then, they scare the **** outta me. Other than that, they're scary, but not to the point of me not wanting to play them.

But, the horror game genre is much scarier than the horror movie genre. Only ghost movies really scare me anymore.

Yeah I hate playing scary games all alone at night with the lights out, the worst part is when I try to sleep cause the idea of what was going on in the game is stuck in my head. but I rarely play them. I remember a friend of mine played eternal darkness, wasnt that scary just more odd cause every so often something weird would happen like some monster would come out of no where and chop off your head, then you can pick it you "You picked uo your own head"

Yeah, at night is the worst. When I played Fatal Frame, my time to play was at night since I had school in the morning and then work.

I remember telling a co-worker and he understood what I said. He was saying that since you're actually in control, it's as if you were directly in that situation as opposed to just watching a movie.
