Loved the first one. One of the coolest concepts for an adventure movie ever, and all around just a lot of fun.

This one looks like it could be the same. Harvey Keitel's back(YES!), Ed Harris is in it, and Helen Mirren? Awesome. Not as awesome as if she were playing the Queen in this film too, but awesome nonetheless.

I enjoyed the first one, but this plot sounds like a huge stretch

And the first plot wasn't?

Well the first one was based on some actual legends and conspiracy theories with a few leaps in logic but is was fun, trying to do it a second time to the same exact people just feels like too much

I always say you can pull any thing off if done right, but really how often are stretch concepts pulled off?

Once in a blue moon... their extremely rare, but does happen. No one thought Star Wars would be pulled off. But now it's considered one of the greatest seisolgies of all time, although a Seisolgy are even rarer.

Seisology? No, that would imply that there were six movies. There were only three. Shut up! THERE WERE ONLY THREE! Lucas... what have you become?

But I digress. The first movie was mediocre, but fairly entertaining. I think this will follow the typical pattern of Amusingly mediocre ---> entertaining schlock ---> unwatchable.

Most likely considering how sequels have been going lately...

After seeing the trailer yesterday with Pirates, I only have one thing to say: Helen Mirren is the most beautiful actress over 60. (By the way, I also saw The Queen yesterday.)

I'm gonna side with Twilight here. The first one was mediocre.....at best. It really didn't warrant a sequel.

I'm gonna have to pass. Stupid Disney....you wanna hit me with a big-budget Christmas movie? Gimme my Narnia sequels. Bloody tossers.

I love conspiracies and I really enjoyed the first one, so I'm there.

the titular secret is that bicentennial man was just pinnochio with lazers, and that charles barkley vs. godzilla destroyed many lives of kids in my generation.

bastards.

Ugh, no thanks. I'll take NT over Narnia any day.

Ditto for me. :)

I finally saw the first one and while I didn't love it I did like it a alot and my fondness for Revolution-era American history just sweetens the deal.

My family dragged me to this over the holidays....

I can't begin to describe how much I hated it. The only saving grace for this movie was Justin Bartha. And even still.......

My girlfriend says that all the time about these flashes me and you create. She doesn't get the big picture.

As for the movie, Sexynurse wants to see it, so that means we will probably go see it tomorrow.
