Now that the Ultimates are no longer under SHIELD's control, what will they get to replace them? Some sort of Ultimate version of the Thunderbolts?

Young Ultimates. Featuring Ultimate Iron Lad , Ultimate Patriot and more!

As if anyone working in the Ultimate titles remembers the mini-mates.

It'll probably just be the Reserves.

Good question though.

oh mini-mates is real  I thought he was joking about mini-mates the toys

Though who would be in the reverses, I would rather a bunch of ultimate versions of B-list avengers from the 616 universe, rather than some no names.

Though an ultimate version of the Thunderbolts could be interesting.

Did you not read the Millar/Land run on Ultimate Fantastic Four?

I think it would be cool if they *did* replace them with some no name soldiers or something.

I haven't read any fantastic four except the annual

Overlord should have his own random Ultimates questions thread.

I agree.

It's not that these questions shouldn't be asked, because a lot of them are relevant, but they should be confined to one thread.

As for the question, I'm going to go with either the Reserves or the Thunderbolts. Hell, I think it'd be awesome if SHIELD made a deal with Norman Osborn and he led them.

Hey if the mods want to merge the threads, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I don't know, with an Ultimate Thunderbolts team you can introduce a lot of important characters to the UU, like Helmut Zemo. That could be interesting.

Mar-Vehl, Vision, Fury and Falcon. Throw in some second stringers and you've got yourself a team book I would read.

possible picks:

American Dream / why: their going to what someone with a flag on them.

Arachne / why: Fury spent a lot of time working on how to destroy Peter's Powers and working with the Scorpion clone.

Black Cat / Why: their going to need someone who's good at sneeking around. And I don't see her returning to Ultimate Spider-Man anytime soon.

Captain Marvel / Why: He's stuck on earth now and what else is he going to do.

Toxin / Why: S.H.I.E.D. has had the Genage clone and has had time to study her and make a Symbiote to use for themselves.

War Machine / Why: Tony's out and their going to need a big hitter and weapons expert.

She-Hulk / Why: their going to need a big hitter for the new team.

If your having problems of thinking of who you what I suggest going here: http://www.comicvine.com/characters/

Did we ever see all the Reserves?

I know Fury mentioned Intangi-girl and Thunderbolt (in the first annual I think), but we never saw them, did we?

You should check out the Milar/Land run. 12 issues - great, over-the-top stuff.

I like the different threads. They are different discussions and God knows we could use actual comic discussion.

And after thinking about it, I do think Thunderbolts would be the way to go. And with some of the guys they have locked up now, that could be very interesting.

Thank you, I was thinking that a few threads to get some more discussion on the ultimate boards was a good thing.

Did you see the JLU ep with the Suicide Squad? The did well with such a concept, with 4 villains as spooks and Amanda Waller and Rick Flagg as government support.

There is a lot you can do with the concept, as well as used new and established villains as spooks, you can 616 Thunderbolt characters working as the support staff for the government on this project, it would be a good way to introduce Ultimate Versions of Helmut Zemo, Paul Norbert Ebersol
(the Fixer) and Dr. Karla Sofen (Moonstone).
