What should happen to UXM after Kirkman leaves?

Bryan Singer could do his run that he's had everyone waiting for.

yes but what direction would like to see?

I think after the apocalypse storyline, the mansion should get blown up and the X-Men should be fugitives from the government.

I never liked that they were supposed to be an oppressed minority and they live in a Mansion.

They should become a pop group.

probably explained off as the school for gifted youngsters with prof x doing some mind manipulation...jean says she has to clear all minds of the staff so they dont suspect anything...

Good question. I've got nothing. With Apoc's story come and gone (in an almost depression fashion) what else is there to tell?

I guess, if I were in charge. New villains. New stories. And lose the school angle. Cyke and Jean should not be teachers in the Ultimate Universe. They're in their late teens and early twenties.

Get the ****ing Ultimate Dark Phoenix saga out of the damn way. They've been building it for nearly 80 issues now. . .

And what do you know! HE IS!

Holy ****! I'm good!

I may as well keep at it while I'm on my streak.

Jeph Loeb and Joe Mad will take over Ultimate X-Men, which will be renamed "Ultimate Wolverine and His Ultimate Amazing Friends, But Mostly Wolverine, And Spider-Man Too!" as we shift towards Ultimatum.

Each issue will ultimize a new Marvel character for Wolverine to bang!

The problem is it doesn't fit the theme, the X-men are supposed to be part of an oppressed minority and they live in a Mansion and half of them look like GQ models?

I mean really, their lives are supposed to be so hard, yet they can have a pool party whenever they want and then have their butler clean it up later.

An oppressed minority that lives in the playboy mansion, doesn't work. That would make the UXM different from the 616 X-men, no mansion.

That's a good point, it seems like they used up most of the X-men's Rogues gallery at this point, Silver samurai is the only major X-Men rogue that hasn't shown up at this point.

Anyway Admiral Stryker seems like a major villain that is out there, after the Apocalypse story, people could once again turn against Mutants and Stryker could launch an assault on the X mansion, destroying it and putting the X-Men on the run.

I wish they had never done the Apocalypse arc. It could have been a lot better, I mean Apoc is supposed to be the most powerful X-villain and now they don't really have any bad guys to face. And I hate the way the Sentinels were drawn during Kirkman's whole run, their shoulders didnt move and were connected to their necks.

I honestly have no idea what they could do now. Silver Samurai would be okay, but....I dunno.

Well guess there's Sauron too, maybe they can do something with him.

As for the samurai, I think the fact that he is a Yakuza boss could easily give him a story. What about him running a mutant smuggling ring or something.

Except that's a story we've already read....even in the UU. Return to Weapon X has the mansion destroyed and rebuilt in like 4 issues. That massive undertaking and money loss is not new to the UU either, in Cable the X-Jet was destroyed and then the back-up was crashed into Six Pack. Since then the X-Men had to take the train to get around. In the Apoc arc a new X-Jet appears just long enough to explode.

With Ultimates dumbed down, I want UXM to become the political sociological book of the UU. With race being talked about quite a lot today, the mutants should be doing the same.

One possible idea, open to be cannibalized, would be to have Xavier put his money with his mouth is...have him run for president. Ultimate Bush must be on his way out by now anyway. And Xavier doesn't have to win the election, but remember when the UU was topical?
