Hi guys,
I am looking to start a website here in the next couple of moths that is an online comics publisher. What I mean by that, essentially, is a bunch of comics all coming out from the same site. I am also looking to create a bunch of blogs on the site as well. That's where you guys come in. I am looking for writers, artists, colorists, letterers and bloggers for the site. More information is at the wordpress blog for the site which can be found here. If you want to take part let me know! And pass this on to anyone else you think might be interested. Thanks guys.

This is very intriguing. I'm definitely interested if it gets going.

artists, as always, seem to be the biggest stumbling block. However, they are teaching a graphic novel course in the art department at school this fall... hoping to have a harvest in a month or two :-D

Also, how would you guys feel about putting together some pitches, that way it can help me look for artists when I go to Boston Comic Con in October and when I am hunting around here. Also, god willing, if I get anyone on the net.

The way I want to do blogs is as a weekly column about anything pop-culture related. Put together a pitch more or less for your column and let me know either in pm or email and I would be down for it. Hell, you guys could co-blog. I'm up for whatever! :-D

Cheese blogging on the internet?

I want to be his counterpoint.
Now you're cooking with gas.

Let me put some thought into the pitch.
I don't know if me and Cheese are that close to do a co-blog.
Bite your tongue! The only problem I see with it would be if our pitches don't mesh.

Things are moving crazy fast on this project. I have a book that has been added to the launch line up and another artist looking to get involved. Bloggers, you are good where you are for now, but writers it's pitch time. If you have something you have been sitting on and really want to do or if you just got a flash of inspiration let me know.

New Update on Comic Coma: What's going on... some of the changes... and a 12 page preview of Zom, a comic by me and a close friend. Check it out.

We are getting very close to the release of the first issue of a Comic Coma Publishing comic! As we get closer though, we find ourselves in need of a bit of a capital campaign. Our target? A measly 300 dollars before we can launch the official site and release the first issue for purchase in stores and on demand.
How do we propose to raise this sum? We have put up a donation button on the temp site (www.comiccoma.wordpress.com in case you forgot!)! Of course, we wouldn't want you to go empty handed for your donations so we have put together the following:

$10 - Special thanks in the two premier issues coming out from Comic Coma Publishing (Zom and Comic Coma).
$20 - Special thanks in the two premier issues and a FREE signed copy of Zom #1 by creators Anthony Reed and Spencer Hawkes (We can't promise the signing will not deface the value of the paper.)
$30 - The special thanks, the free signed Zom #1 and an original 8x10 drawing by Zom artist Spencer Hawkes especially for you!
and finally,
$300 - We will write, draw, and publish a 22 page one-shot comic with you as the hero for you to cherish for ever and ever!

Of course, just because we have an incentive structure doesn't mean you have to play by our rules. Feel free to donate however much you feel apt and should you meet any of our tiers we will gladly repay you in the ways we can. Tell your friends, tell your enemies, head to the Comic Coma temp site and help us get the books into your hands soon!

Hello again! I am proud to announce the all new http://www.comiccoma.com!
We have a blog and we have full comics on a digital viewer. Check it out, give us feed back! Shortly we will have another issue up that will feature a story written by board member Dr. Strangefate! WOO!

I feel really bad for not doing anything yet. I need to do something.

But congratulations! It looks good and I'm glad it's working out!

is that a good "huh." or bad "huh."?

;) I'll tell you when I have a chance to check out the site.

Seriously, though. That's great. The more grass roots indie publishing, the better. I look forward to snooping around. Maybe I'll do some scripting myself.
