Who else would think it would be great if Marvel got the two of 'em to work together on another on-going Spidey series? Now that Amazing Spider-Man is coming out twice a month, I sure as hell wouldn't mind a second series coming out once a month.
Heck, I'd even prefer a Spider-Man Forever (much like the X-Men ones) that picks up right after Amazing #118

My favourite Spidey comic that I have is something called THE BEST OF THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and reprints half a dozen newspaper stories by Lee and Romita Sr. I absolutely adore it.

Stan Lee/Romita days were glorious. I never had much love for Ditko's art style, but Romita was just plain awesome.
Too bad I couldn't find any scans of newspapers strips online :(
I am now officially determined to get Marvel to do a Spider-Man Forever picking up after ASM 118 :D

Stan Lee's kind of lost it though, if most of his more recent stuff is anything to go by (DC's Just Imagine, anyone?)

Not to mention, he can't really remember a lot of the characters he created that well and he's certainly forgotten all of the continuity. In most DVD extras, he says stuff like "I'll be damned if I can remember how [X Supervillain] got that power..."

There's a big difference between giving someone like Chris Claremont his story back, 15 years later, than giving Stan Lee his book back...what...30 years later now? The energy isn't quite the same.

And from what I can tell, Marvel's attempt at a "Spider-Man Forever" was that Clone Saga four-parter they released recently.

i love Lee/Romita's classic stuff, but I don't think I want Stan Lee writing anything ever again. He was a visionary in his time but now his writing just comes off as corny.

Maybe a different writer? I would love to see a continuation of what Stan Lee was doing before Gil Kane killed Gwen

But...! But that sucked :(

A bit I guess (ok maybe more than a bit), but I liked his recent back-up stories with Marcos Martin. Still, a writer with a similar writing style picking up from ASM #118 would be great :)
