the more i find out about this, the more I think this is true.

There was an interview with writer Rick Remender in the back of ASM #651 and he said the new Venom is going to be a long-time member of Spidey's supporting cast. And whether the new Venom will be friend or foe remains to be seen.

You just can't deal with progress. Seriously, dumping Eddie was the best thing to happen to the symbiote.

Really, Gargan did more with the symbiote than Eddie ever did and this new host will probably be excellent as well.

You have to accept that Brock was one dimensional and move on. Hell, him ditching the symbiote gave him some much needed character growth. Especially since now Brock no longer blames others for his mistakes and even accept that the things he blamed Peter for where really his own fault.

This whole concept does kind of seem like a self-aware spoof of the 1990s-esque character revamps. Although isn't Deadpool already one of those?

So yeah, it seems kind of pointless. I'm interested to see where they go with it (and I don't really read any Marvel stuff).
 
I'm still leaning towards Flash, but it could totally be John Jameson, main thing to me, is that he doesn't really have any major connections to anybody besides JJJ right now. That makes him disposable... to extent I suppose... he's still the the son of the frickin' mayor of NYC though...

Flash's relationship with Betty is the only thing I could see stopping him from taking the job as Venom
 
Pretty much the most idiotic thing since Ultimate Mary Jane turning into MJgoblin. Nice job, Marvel - I didn't think you could outdo yourself after that one. You've proven me wrong.
