I felt this deserves it's own thread

Along with the Arnold Cave, the Governator will have a fleet of super vehicles at his disposal, a closet full of "Super Suits" that allow him to fly and perform other super stunts, and a team of colorful sidekicks, such as Zeke Muckerberg, the precocious 13-year-old computer whiz who acts as the Governator's cybersecurity expert. Naturally, there will also be recurring supervillains — including an evil organization called Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, for short). For Schwarzenegger, the cartoon is obviously the next best thing to being President.

I wish Shane Black had created this instead of Stan Lee.

Ugh. American politicians. Just... no.

Could be worse though. They´re still leagues ahead of Italian politicians.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but I don't think politics is really the point of this...

I understand that, and that is what is wrong with this. There is a certain role you take upon yourself if you want to be a prominent political figure. Not having cartoons made based on your person is part of that role. Everybody in politics makes enough money to finance a cartoon based on their person. Or to have s*x-parties with underage models (I'm looking at you here, Berlusconi!). If you don't understand the role a politician has in society, stay the **** out of politics.

He's not even the governor anymore, does it really still matter?

Yes. Yes it does. It sends a message to people about their politicians. 'Vote for the entertainer, he'll make you smile.'
Which will lead to 'If he can't make you smile, he's a bad politician, so don't vote for him.' Effectively cutting off the people who are actually good politicians, in favor for anyone with a reality tv-show.

I'm sorry about getting so worked up over this, it just pissed me off.

But like Ice said, he's not a politician any more. You're suggesting he be held to some kind of standard that doesn't apply to him.

:?

There are a lot more important things to get "pissed off" over, man. There's a lot worse going on in the world.

Like mask squinting.

HOW IS IT THAT WE DON'T HAVE LEGISLATION AGAINST MASK SQUINTING?

Greatest. Thing. Ever.

This could be hilarious if they amp up the violence and stuff to satiric levels but it'll probably just be corny, restrained and ultimately for 13-year-olds like Stripperella.

Arnold blowing up robots.... fighting in some sort of super-suit that even Larry King could be an action hero in, defeating the purpose of having Arnold.... basically "action" instead of "violence". Meh.

An Arnold Schwarzenegger cartoon should be about him killing terrorists with his bare hands.

I completely agree.

I'd like to see Arnold do a Conan the Barbarian cartoon on Adult Swim or something.
