Jessica Jones (Marvel/Netflix) [Spoilers]

Re: Jessica Jones (Marvel/Netflix)

I really want a Paul Rudd cameo.

I hope for a Spider-Man reference. They're not the same age in this Universe. So I'm hoping for something like this.

Jessica: I was a normal kid, once. Used go to the mall, hang out with friends. Even used to babysit for extra cash. I remember this nice couple that took in their nephew after his parents died in a terrible plane crash. Palmer...Parker. Parker was their name.

I've noticed you taste in just about everything seems to differ from almost everyone... I'm two episodes in and I don't think it's that bad. And almost every fan review I've read seems to praise this show.

I'll admit it's different from Daredevil but I'm enjoying it so far. And they just revealed her Jewel costume. David Tennant is beyond creepy. It's weird for me to see the guy who portrayed the Doctor as this sadistic character. Plus, it's great to see Marvel finally give a female character her own series. Plus, hey, a slightly, different approach to the character Nuke!

I don't care about Jessica. Alias had a whole bunch of character work done before anything was revealed so when we learned what happened to her and see how she used to be this happy, carefree, and bright eyed woman it made Purple Man's whole thing that much darker and twisted. I will say though, the show has gotten better once Kilgrave is fully introduced properly. The little hints and cameos weren't doing anything for me. It also could be due to me waking up at 3 am to watch it. I'm sure I'll like it more on the rewatch. My other problem is that, unlike Daredevil, I don't care about the supporting cast outside of Simpson, Walker, and Cage.

Finished the show. I give it a 7/10. Daredevil got an 8/10 from me.

I watched the first episode. It hasn't really hooked me. It was pretty horrifying but I'm not worried about where the show is going to go anymore. I think I'll be okay watching it, but I'm not super excited to watch it like I was after the first episode of Daredevil.

Re: Jessica Jones (Marvel/Netflix)

Episode 5 was pretty great. The snatch & grab was really intense. Poor Malcom. And poor Jessica, being forced to send pictures to Kilgrave to protect Malcom...

Episode 9: 'wwjd?' was incredible. It really messed with my head. They almost got me to like Kilgrave (whose name is apparently Kevin?) and then they reminded me what a monster he was. And then they reveal his origins and the fact that he never ever knows if people are doing things because they want to or because he wants them to, and I felt bad for him (and was conflicted because they had just reminded me that he was a serial rapist). Then I was actually rooting that Jessica might be able to change him and was sort of let down when she drugged him. And then the neighbour gave the bomb to Simpson.

Crazy.

I'm assuming Hoagarth it's going to try to use Kilgrave to make what's her name sign the divorce papers and screw everything up.
