DragonBall Z resurrection F - This was awesome! while partly true it came out last year in select rare areas here ect.. The bluray / dub is it's main realease so that is the one so I'll count it. Fun s hell! new transformations and the return of Frieza! Alround it was great and has great looking animation. I recommend this

I saw this in theaters. Definitely a fun time. When Vegeta started going at it with Freiza a guy shouted out "I missed him so much!". I loved how Goku was stopped by a laser beam (he's not Superman after all) and that Vegeta never actually got his chance for revenge. I can't wait for the next one.

If there is a new one as next is the series

I'm hip to Super, I'm behind though, but they're supposed to be making another film, it's a trilogy. At least that's what my friend told me, I trust him with anime stuff since I have no idea where to go for that kind of info.

Goosebumps - Just watched it on a preview weekend (not out here till February) I expected to hate it however I loved it! Jack Black was not bad , the easter eggs , the love to the source material (the movie even follows the tropes and structure of the books) can NOT wait till this out on bluray in the uk so I can buy it.

Jungle Book -- A- Favreau did a great job with this movie. The casting in particular was pretty perfect. It was fun and fresh and still nostalgic. I'm just sad Baloo didn't put on a grass skirt and scat with King Louis in this version.

Captain America: Civil War -- A This movie was so much fun! I had the hugest grin on my face the entire time Spider-Man was on the screen. Well done Marvel!

Kubo and the Two Strings -- B It's not very often you get to see a stop-motion movie any more - and this one was well done. The art was amazing and the story was pretty tightly written. And I laughed a lot. The most interesting part was that it could very easily been a Legend of Zelda movie (except that there was no princess). It felt extremely similar to their style, I guess because the film had a very Eastern/Japanese flavour to it. But seriously, the parallels and similarities were crazy.

Star Trek Beyond -- C- This movie was really disappointing. The first half of the movie had so much shaky camera that it was almost impossible to tell what was going on. The plot was by the numbers and predictable (
Good guys who get lost in space ALWAYS go bad cf. Sunshine and Interstellar
).
They surfed on a wave of alien fighter ships while blowing them up by playing Sabotage by the Beastie Boys really loud.
The jokes mostly fell flat. There were some nice character moments between Bones and Spock though.

Dr. Strange -- B This movie was pretty fun. It was a bit formulaic and rushed, but the visuals were spectacular and it was entertaining.

Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them -- B+ Easily the best Potterverse film yet. The acting was great, the story was good, the subtle worldbuilding was really well done.

Rogue One -- A Fantastic. Especially the last act. This movie was wonderful on its own and did a great job of setting up ANH. They had some great easter eggs and tasteful fan service. Really good.

Visuals a move does not make. The best part was it not ending in a CGI explosionfest.

Doctor Strange was formulaic in many ways but it had a great and inventive resolution with the Dormammu "battle". That was one of the better MCU protagonist/antagonist resolutions. The rest of the movie was indeed formulaic but still an exciting visual feast and the various roles charmingly portrayed. It makes me excited to see what Derrickson will do in a sequel assuming Feige and Marvel Studios are willing to let him take some risks (which I think they're definitely open to--to a degree--after success of first film). We'll see.

Yeah me too. So I gave it a B.
