DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

I know this won't be popular, but I consider BOP, TSS and PM to be an alternate "Black Label" timeline. I just don't feel like those hard R rated projects mesh well with the PG-13 mainline films and I don't include them in watch-throughs.

I'm just gonna be honest with you:
You're right. It isn't popular because it's wrong and unnecessary. Black Adam ties into Peacemaker. Literally a crossover character between them. The Justice League are in Peacemaker.

Since when does a rating mean anything? The Punisher exists in the same universe as Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is just my own personal head-canon. I know others who feel the same though. A case could easily be made that they occur in a similar, but different DCEU timeline. So I'm calling it the "black label" timeline and making it optional for those who want to binge the DCEU. That way MCU fans who are into PG-13 mainstream Comic Book franchises can enjoy the primary film series and skip the ones intended for mature audiences.

What are you gonna do when the DCU starts tying into these DCEU films?

personal theory regarding flash:

i believe the implication is that keaton was active in the 90s on his earth and he's not technically a metahuman and in earth-89's timeline zod attacks in 2013 but there are no super powered heroes except kara who landed but was put into a bunker immediately, retroactively making the original keaton movies into the flashpoint timeline of the movie multiverse

i believe this is more concise and easier for casual audiences to understand than "there are many timelines" if your goal is to reset and restrict keaton's appearance to a fun one-movie cameo now rather than have him be your Batman moving forward

please let me know if this requires a spoiler tag although i think we all know where the flash is going

Do we know what year the WW84 opening narration is supposed to occur in? I personally feel it's "present day" (2020) but I guess it could be anytime.

"[Diana] Some days, my childhood feels so very far away. And others, I can almost see it. The magical land of my youth, like a beautiful dream of when the whole world felt like a promise and the lessons that lay ahead yet unseen. Looking back, [chuckles] I wish I'd listened. Wish I'd watched more closely and understood. But sometimes you can't see what you're learning until you come out the other side."

Was just reading the DCEU wiki timeline.

In The Suicide Squad, while the executioner who was torturing Harley Quinn is chatting, the date "lunes, 17 de agosto de 2020" can be read, placing that day on Monday August 17, 2020. The filming of The Suicide Squad was between September 2019 and February 2020, so the date of August 2020 could have been placed purposely since it is not a filming date.
Shortly after the arrival of the second group of Task Force X on Corto Maltese, a banner of "3 days ago" is displayed when Amanda Waller blackmails Bloodsport and he agrees reluctantly to join Task Force X, dating this day on August 12, 2020.
Two days before Harley's torture and Starro's battle, dated on August 17, 2020, occurred the deployment of Task Force X in Corto Maltese and its subsequent confrontation on the beach, placing it on August 15, 2020. The day Harley was captured and the squad met Sol Soria and kidnapped Thinker, the next day, would be dated on August 16, 2020.
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, a report given to Commissioner James Gordon about the parademon kidnappings is dated 07/29/2017. This is the evening of the day Barry saves Iris, visits his father, then meets Batman and flies to Gotham. Gordon shines the bat signal after receiving the report ("I'll talk to [Batman] tonight."), which they see as they land, then they immediately head to the police station, followed by the harbor. This means the conflict at the harbor must have taken place the night of the 29th, possibly into the early hours of the 30th. The previous day Diana had headed to the Shrine of the Amazons to learn of the Apokoliptians, which was signaled the night before by Hippolyta. The message to Diana was urgent, so it must have been the same date as Steppenwolf's attack on the Penetralium, putting the attack on the 27th.

-DCEU wiki

That DCEU wiki placement of The Suicide Squad works with Shazam!: Fury of the Gods being set two years after Shazam!. It could still be set after that movie and be consistent with the Starro reference, because 2020 is two years after 2018.

Most of the most recent TV Spots has him say "The past FEW years as a superhero-".

2021 at the earliest.

Two Shazam tie-in comics just came out. I'm reading the Shazamifamily one first.

Here are some time placements I've gathered:
1st Story - Christmas (unknown year)
2nd Story - ????
3rd Story - 2019 (Darla says she's 10 in one panel; she was born in 2009 according to the DCEU wiki)
4th Story - 2019 (It's said to be set a year after the events of the first film in text boxes)
5th Story - 2019 (The Croc fight in the previous story is brought up)
6th Story - 2021 (Darla turns 12 in this story)
7th Story - ????
8th Story - ????

I'm currently rewatching BvS and was wondering if there was a reason why certain days are squeezed together. The events from November 11th-12th should be the 7th-12th.

Day 1 (November 7th)- 56:43-58:39. Lois meets with Klyburn, Clark investigates inmates with the "Bat-Brand", and Lex bails out Wallace Keefe and gives him his new chair.

Day 2 (November 8th) 58:40-1:12:36 . Keefe meets with Senator Finch, Lois meets with Swanick, Perry goes off on Clark, Bruce and Diana attend the event (at night) where she returns the drive, the Knightmare sequence, Bruce talks with Alfred about the White Portuguese (some of the stuff with Bruce after the event could be in the early hours of the 9th). Clark and Lois are both shown to be wearing different clothes than they were on the events I placed on the 7th, hence why I feel it's a different day.

Day 3 (November 9th) 1:12:37-1:21:48 . Clark investigates the death of Santos, later that night Bruce goes after the kryptonite, Bruce and Clark meet as Batman and Superman. Clark is wearing new clothes and we're shown daylight during Clark's investigation, confirming it's a new day since the events on the 8th.

Day 4 (November 10th) 1:21:49-1:23:00. Senator Finch gives a press conference asking for Superman to come to the Capitol TOMORROW. The events ending on the 9th happen at night, here we're shown the day, confirming it's a new day.

Day 5 (November 11th) 1:23:01-1:41:46. The Capitol Bombing.

Day 6 (November 12th) 1:41:46-2:02:57. We start a new day after seeing night scenes after the bombing, and Lex begins his plan. We see the 11:29 time and November 12th date on Diana's computer.

Currently, the events I've placed from the 7th-9th are dated as the 11th and the ones I dated the 10th-12th are all on the 12th. There's just no way all of this can all be within a 2 day period like the timeline currently has.
