Hi,

I was left some comics by my late step father. They're all Uncle Scrooge issues 1-403, none are missing, all in excellent condition and in plastic. I was told there was one he paid 600 for. Can someone tell me what the lot may be worth? I know nothing about comic books and am just looking for someone who will take care of them the way my stepfather did.

I dunno much about the Uncle Scrooge comics but it seems like you have something akin to a literal fortune. No joke.

Now I dunno where you can sell that, maybe professional venders? I don't know. I'm looking into it.

Honestly, I somewhat aspire to make a full Disney timeline, though doing so would include the whole of the Duckverse, which has so many comics it'd be impossible to timeline that alone. I definitely won't be able to pay for them, though this is definitely an amazing collection.

If I were you, personally I'd keep them, though I'm a collector at heart so wouldn't sell them even if they were worth all the money in the world. If you feel you owning them would do them an injustice, definitely sell them

Another idea would be auction places that will owe you the total amount from it being sold, if you decide to sell it.

There are wealthy people who will buy that and take great, perfect care of them.

Again, I'm not pressuring you to sell it if you feel like you don't want to.

I'm just giving you options in case you ultimately decide to. If those comics mean more to you to where you wanna keep them, that's perfectly fine.
Do what you truly makes you feel comfortable and happy.

Thank you guys for all the responses. I do want to sell them, I'm just wondering where my best bet would be? Auction, comic swap, etc. As I said I know nothing about comic books, but from what I've seen on here, you all are a good group of people!

I would definitely look up the values of each issue and write down the value of each.
That might be a tedious process, but Auction places do need that kind of information beforehand. Comic swaps/shops/vendors you could pursue as well, but I know them to lowball how much they pay you back… so its definitely something you will need to ask around and see who will pay the right amount, akin to online or auction prices.

If the comic's physical conditions are good, then also increases their value. Something to keep in mind. :)

Thank you! I know it's probably going to be a process on my end so I don't get low balled on the price. Do you know of a good way to get the value of each? Like is there one source that I can look at? Or is it just a google thing? Thanks again!!!!

Google is your best bet, yup. And you are welcome!
