Clearly Flash was surprised by George Clooney Batman, so who's to say he didn't go back and try to fix things? I feel that, at the very least, the flashpoint was originally intended to create the DCU, but since it's clearly different in The Flash, he could've just gone back to try and fix things after Escape the Midnight Circus. He could've also lost his powers at some point trying to fix this, leading to a different Flash in the DCU. It's advertised as a soft reboot to the DCEU, so time travel shenanigans seem like the most likely option to me, if at the very least done by any time traveller - not just Flash

Can we all agree that Aquaman: King of Atlantis is a branched DCEU branched timeline, a bit like Justice League (2017)? I've seen the whole thing before, it's really wild. They confirmed it's not canon and, well, Ocean Master's history is quite a bit different to what we see in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (assuming no timeline shenanigans ****** things up).

I mean, it works as an insanely silly, outlandish out-of-continuity sequel to Aquaman. I do think that Aquaman is a bit stronger in that universe though... uh... he holds the planet together? XD

I like to head-canon all the non-canon DCEU content like Justice League, Aquaman: King of Atlantis and Black Adam Precursor Part 1-2 as the Knightmare timeline just so that it has somewhere to go. Admittedly, it'd be pretty weird if someone watched the DCEU for the first time and started with Justice League. Obviously completely made up though, there's no relation.

personally i view josstice league as pre-arrowverse crisis dceu and zsjl as post-crisis, and i do view koa as a branch follow-up to the first aquaman; i guess it can fit in the knightmare timeline?

Pretty sure on @Pro Bot 's watch order for the DCEU/Conjuring (posted in the Slasherverse thread) they put it in the Knightmare timeline, yeah

if someone has a source to prove me either wrong or right i'd love to see it, but i remember hearing about before the end of the DCEU that it was James Gunn's plan to make The Flash the inflection point of resetting 'most' of the DCEU into the DCU, similar to what is theorized to happen to the MCU after Secret Wars. while there's no telling with the DCU currently, its my headcanon that all of the MCU and all of the DCU include every iteration of every character since the beginning of film and its just a matter of whether the universe is picked up to be included in a story. at least that is what it feels like the MCU is doing.

understandable. i never drank underage and i definitely agree with 21 as a drinking age. i know its much lower all over the world. i'm sure even different planets would be different haha. arguably, if you go off of physiology, i'd argue adulthood, drinking, and all that should be 25 (prefrontal cortex estimated development completion age)

I personally feel like drinking is less invasive than, well, the mechanics of the other thing. Drinking underage will not be as traumatising as doing the nasty underage, I'm fairly certain. Not really a great place to have this discussion though, plus I'm not really an advocate for either of them. In fact, I'm a little weirded out that 16 is the legal age in my country. Oh well.
