Marvel Animated Universe (1990s) - Timelines

It's ok. The story is allright, the art is off-model for the characters and I think Peter's personality is also a bit off (he was less goofy and funnier in the show IMO).

Buh-buh he "wrote" the most iconic episode of the show:

It's possible they will give us a TAS continuation after the current Spider-Man show is over, considering X-Men 97's popularity. If they do, I hope they involve John Semper.

If not, at least this comic is better than nothing ig.

My personal theory for this universe is that the Marvel Action Hour Trinity of shows are canon to the X-Men/Spider-Man universe but T'Chaka and T'Challa from the Fantastic Four episode just got retconned into being Azzuri and T'Chaka instead respectively. Not a clean retcon but I think that's the intention

It's not just that, there's also Hydro Man not being dead in the F4 cartoon, plus the Scarlet Spider cameo and Sasquatch of Alpha Flight not being a member of that team and just a lone outcast in the 90s Hulk cartoon.

I like the way that separating them feels clean, personally. Might just be me.
The real point of that timeline diverging is Klaw killing T’Chaka.

From that point, Hydro Man does not die somehow and the Alpha Flight team is never formed, etc in this branched timeline.

That doesn’t mean similar events didn’t occur in both. Juggernaut crawls out of the ocean in one of the Iron Man or F4 episodes I think, which follows up on him getting launched there in an X-Men episode.
