Does a modern version in an another alternate timeline count? Because there's relatively modern versions of Flint Marko and Robbie Robertson in the Raimi trilogy

Clearly Spider Noir diverged much earlier than the Raimiverse.

1892 is when NYC had mass immigration enter the country so...base it on that time frame and assume Robbie and Flint were born sometime after that.

When do you think the Raimiverse diverged?
Sometime around 1930, when the Super Soldier Serum was never perfected or made.
No Red Skull getting the imperfect version, no Captain America. Just normal war heroes/villains.

So the actual divergence is probably much earlier than the spider bite
Considering Noir mentions Germany already doing human experiments for unspecified amount of the years until the late 1910s when they lost WW1 - that scientific breakthrough probably.

Ben Reilly coming across these experiments, getting bit and becoming "The Spider" was a result of these many-year German experiments; maybe said experiments began even before Flint Marko and Robbie Robertson were born.

If Ben was never bit, well, he meets Ruby, and they have a loving life and a kid - the kid either being Aunt May's biological mother or father, is born earlier instead of decades later.
Or solely in the case of the Raimiverse, May Reilly is his daughter due to the age of her in that universe.

So the main events of Spider Noir don't happen in the SSU then? If that's the case the events should have brackets that say alternate timeline

tho the novelization mentions Cap and Red Skulls as comics (it could be just in-universe fiction but Earth-616 had in-universe cap comics too).

If Spider Noir is not a divergent timeline to the SSU does that mean he met another lady later on?

Bro do you actually think they would tie this show to Sony's slop movies? Let's be real for a second.

Even from a creative perspective, I don't see that happening as the showrunner said this is not the same Spider-Man as the one in Spider-Verse meaning they don't intend to tie this show to other properties, not even to well received ones like the Spider-Verse movies.

Be nice.

It was officially stated that this is an alternate timeline, even though the series is part of the SSU. It's like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to the MCU.

So the bite is probably the divergence then from the Sacred Timeline, then what's the SSUs divergence?

Haven't started watching Spider Noir yet but from what i can gather it is a variant universe from the spider noir of the spider-verse films which is earth 90214 or 90214B so it is not of the same continuity but because it is still part of Sony's Spider Man Catalogue i would put it after kraven the hunter and after Beyond the spider-verse (for now) and somewhere between Wonder Man S01 (I have it in April-June/July 2026) and Brand New Day (Nov 2028) in terms of where it would go in the wider marvel multiverse. Also i heard somewhere that they might connect spider noir to Avengers secret wars.
Here is the chronological multiverse order atm:

Wonder Man S01

Spider Noir S01?

What If? VR Experience
Deadpool & Wolverine
Marvel Zombies S01

Marvel Zombies S02?

What If? S03
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man S01

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man S02?

Daredevil Born Again S01E01
Agatha All Along S01
Daredevil Born Again S01E02 - S01E09
Captain America: Brave New World
The Punisher: One Last Kill

Thunderbolts*
Daredevil Born Again S02
OR
Daredevil Born Again S02
Thunderbolts*

Spider Noir S01?

The Fantastic Four: First Steps

VisionQuest S01?

Daredevil Born Again S03

Spider Noir S01?

Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Avengers: Doomsday
Avengers: Secret Wars

@Pro Bot sorry missed one flashback gag sequence in episode 6 that revealed Janet knew Ben was The Spider because of the times he got piss drunk and admitted it several times.

There's no reason to think it's a variant universe of that. They go out of their way to prove it isn't I'd argue.

Yeah I noticed after the evil male doctor in episode 6 or 7 mentions that Ben was a new name and was changed from an unknown prior name to hide his past.

"Magic spider biting him" was just a lie about his origin I guess?
