Basically nothing lines up with Bucky’s congressional career, unfortunately. We do know there was a Presidential election in 2026, so I don’t understand why they didn’t just have him win then and take office in January 2027.

I suppose it's too much of a stretch to think someone who is a special advisor to the president would be mistaken about whether an enhanced individual was a sitting congressperson or not. Maybe he won in November 2026 but his swearing in was delayed?
