All episodes in this segment will be stated as their true episode designation, not paired designation, as the first few seasons have episodes grouped together. This will not be the case on the timeline itself, so I don't have to calculate the true timestamps - I'm using NOW TV, to watch the shows sans Fionna and Cake, which already puts a Cartoon Network intro at the start to calculate around, I'm not doing anymore than that.
It seems obvious to me, but I'll mention it here anyway: Adventure Time does not have a floating timeline. The characters all age throughout the show, most notably Finn being 12 at the start and 17 at the end.
Based off the fact Finn's birthday (the day Jake's parents found him) is March 14, and Finn's 13th birthday is in 2x19, each episode is ~4 days apart unless stated otherwise. 4 days is used since season 5 is "a year and a half" after the start of the show (the year for that is given later in my reasoning) and Finn is 14 by the end of season 3, and 4 days does just feel right (assuming we are shown every adventure Finn and Jake go on since 1x01).
While Adventure Time has crossed over with Futurama, this is a multiversal crossover and only the episode they appear in will be on this timeline.
The Adventure Time pilot is canon, despite the many inaccuracies in it. These inaccuracies are negligible, since a comic explains all of them.
Prismo's Time Room is stated to be outside of time. However, time clearly still passes there (kinda) so I will not be giving it its own section, like the TVA on the MCU timeline.
The Great Mushroom War (GMW) occurs in 2001. There are a few different pieces of evidence for this. Marceline (who is born 4 years before the Great Mushroom War) enjoys mid-90s rock, and in the episode "Filmmakers" Jake says the VCR tapes in the episode are from "Just before the Great Mushroom War", establishing it in/around the mid-90s, however based on Simon Petrikov being born in 1957 and 47 in the "Simon and Marcy" flashbacks (which occur when Marceline is 7 - Marceline was born 4 years before the GMW) meaning the GMW started in 1957+47-(7-4)=2004-3=2001
In 5x16 "Simon and Marcy", it is established that the flashbacks that occur are 996 years ago exactly (on day 1 of the flashbacks), placing modern day of that episode in the year 2004+996=3000. In this season, Finn states that it's been "A year and a half" since the start of the show, placing the first few seasons in 2999 (with the start of season 1 being in 2998, and season 4/5 being early-mid 3000, which works with the 4 days per episode guideline).
The pilot has to occur in 2998, since Finn says he is 12 and Jake says he is 28 (4 in human years - which would contradict his being born before Finn, if not for his father being the alien Ampersand, so he would simply age slightly slower than regular dogs - this is the only contradiction not explained in a comic I believe, though since it can get an explanation based on lore established in the show, his age is still not a contradiction). There is a short section where Finn travels back in time to Mars, with Abraham Lincoln as the King of Mars. This time travel could take place anytime from the start of his reign - hundreds of years before he was even born due to time travel - to just before the pilot. I am placing it just after Magic Man is exiled to Ooo, because it feels the best place to have it.
I am assuming Finn's birthday is based off the day Joshua and Margaret found him, since they would have no way of knowing his true birthday. I would like to say his true birthday also happens to be March 14 due to how the statements were made, as well as Joshua and Margaret just so happening to name Finn the same name his birth parents gave him, though this would require him to be alone for a little under a year as a newborn, and his true age would be 1 year more than what is stated in the show, both of which seem too far-fetched - even for Adventure Time. I will be assuming he was born a few weeks/months before he was found. This is shown in 1x10 "Memories of Boom Boom Mountain".
4x14 "King Worm" is meant to happen previously in the show, after the episode "Evicted!" The episode is a dream sequence, however appearances can still create contradictions, such as swords not being wielded by Finn yet and the inclusion of the Lich. The episode foreshadows future events such as Farmland (which is glaringly obvious on rewatches) despite not ever showing the Cosmic Owl, so this dream sequence clearly is just able to foreshadow (it is created by the King Worm in an attempt to steal Finn/Jake's life essences, thus not being just a dream). A few other episodes are clearly meant to take place earlier in the show, however do not have any contradictions (that need a paragraph to be explained - if at all).
In 1x25 "Gut Grinder", I am assuming the soft people initially hid their gold at an undisclosed point in time, which I have placed before Finn's being found. I am also assuming them removing the cup hiding their gold to dance in said treasures happened just before the start of the episode.
In 1x26 "Finn Meets his Hero", a short montage shows the main feats of Billy's life. While we do not know what years Billy was in his prime, I will be basing the general placement on what is generally accepted, in the timeline of the show.
