Is this the Wildstorm book that's plotted by Alan Moore and written by his daughter? If so, then 60 pages long for a script is no surprise from Alan Moore, who was known to write treatments and descriptions that can go on for twenty pages to describe one actual comic page.

I highly doubt the intention was for the script to be stolen.The theives took the laptop(presumably to sell it) and the script happened to be on it.
