I've wanted to do this here for a while. Fans of Inside The Actor's Studio will probably be familiar with the Bernard Pivot questionarre, the ten questions James Lipton askes the guest towards the end of every show. What would your answers be?

What is your favorite word?

What is your least favorite word?

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

What sound or noise do you love?

What sound or noise do you hate?

What is your favorite curse word?

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

What profession would you not like to do?

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

I will think about this and post my answers later but I can't help but think of Karl Pilkington's answers to these questions now.

What is your favorite word?

Paragon. Goodness(as a noun, not an exclaimation). Vitality.

That's three.

What is your least favorite word?

This might be the hardest question on the whole thing. Off the top of my head, "****ing" when used in reference to sex.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Something over-the-top.

And

Enemies becoming friends, the entire concept of bad guys turning good.

What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Excessive dissection, by-the-bookness for the sake of it, that sort of thing. Truth being put in the way of a good story, for no reason other than some perceived desire for accuracy.

What sound or noise do you love?

A good hearty laugh,

or

The sound of the coconut half spinning around on the wooden table in Hook and all sounds like it. That satisfying sound hollow wood-on-wood makes.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Think back to that episode of South Park with Mr. Hanky and the Sundance Film Festival. When the Robert Redford character throws him against the wall. That sound and all variations of it. All animals, including people, can make that specific sound. It is the worst, saddest sound in the world. Remember that story I told about the Potato Bug? That "twitch" was the exact approximation of that sound.

What is your favorite curse word?

Ridiculous.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
(assuming my profession is film-maker/actor)

Dermatologist. Or robotics engineer. If I had the patience and kind of smarts to learn all that stuff.

What profession would you not like to do?

Well.... butcher. Taxidermist. Those are obvious. What I really dread is something like what I do now as a store clerk, standing up for hours at a time, no goal other than attempt to aid sporadic customers, repitition of something you have to pay a fair bit of attention to, standing up for hours.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

"Yes."

People who are incapable of talking about anything but themselves

What sound or noise do you love?

Two things... One would be the little squeaks some people make when they yawn or get tickled, Two would be the sound of being in a large empty outdoor place. The wind only moving slightly. Everything seems louder in the silence, I love that.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Rhythmic Tapping of any kind... Drives me up a wall.

What is your favorite curse word?

F--K!

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

If we assume my profession is writing with a dash of teaching to pay the bills, I would probably have to say Directing a Film. I'd love to try my hand at that some day.

Any 9-5 Job in a cubicle doing something Mindless.

Masturbation. Nothing to do with the subject matter, it just sounds and looks weird.

Believing in something just because you want it to be true. Romance.

Boots on wet pavement. Every noise associated with thunderstorms--falling rain, gurgling gutters, the thunder itself. Fizzing carbonated drinks. Gunshots. Singing. Alan Rickman's voice.

Currently, I have no profession, but I want to study behavior and situational psychology, with some novel writing on the side.

Paperwork. I've always been the same. Anything like application forms or tax work, with my dyslexia is harder to do but also it's so boring with little freedom of what you are doing.

Metal hitting metal

Rap music

Something like advertisement
