I've seen.

The holidays don't deserve the harsh treatment. They didn't do anything to you!

They're depressing. Sure, if you're a kid without a care in the world or your life just happens to be extra awesome this year, the Holidays are a fun time.

But, with all of the bull**** going on this time of year, it just sucks. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve are always pretty good, but the season itself can die in a fire.

Yeah, that's why I've posted how I've bought stores out with gifts for the wrong reasons.

Not be offensive, but it irks me when people say this, because truly, they rather blame it on the holiday then realize that it's just that the timing sucks. If it happened at any other time (and it does for others), they'd still blame the holiday at the time or whatever.



Eh, whatever. I'm sorry for peoples' losses and misgivings, but it's not the holiday that's to blame. Everytime I see people always talking about that, it just takes the joy out of the time for me.

The holiday isn't too commercial, it's the certain people who celebrate it that make are the actual commercialists. They're the ones who make it seem like it's just about getting expensive gifts and whatnot. It's the people, not the holiday. You don't have to believe in Jesus or God to celebrate it. Plenty of Atheists do, too.

And I don't believe in Santa, but I still celebrate it (besides the religious reason).

When I was a kid I loved it , the seconded I entered high school I stopped , as well as what I mentioned it just seemed like kids holiday.


Now I respect that you like christmas and I hope you and your family enjoy it. To me it's just a pain the *** as work is closed as are the shops ect... it's boring. But again I hope you and anyone else who likes it has a good one.

It felt like Christmas came too soon this year, I guess because I'm not going to school this term, and we're not having Christmas with the whole family this year because my grandparents sold the family home and moved to Ottawa, but after decorating the tree last night with Christmas music playing.... I'm finally feeling more in the mood of the season.

Also, bought my cousin Earth X today for Christmas. Haven't read it myself, but last year he got Watchmen and the year before I got him Kingdom Come. I was gonna get him Dark Knight Returns but they had sold the last one, but the combined recommendations of this site and my comic book guy sold me. Hope he likes it.

The timing was for certain things like people who've been in your situation. Timing plays a part.

This is one of the worst Christmas seasons I can remember. I've been sick since Wednesday - I missed work Thursday and could barely function because I had a huge headache and body aches. My son threw up a couple nights ago and now has bronchitis, and my daughter is also very sick with a 103 degree fever. And my wife is starting to come down with it too.

We've already missed one family Christmas get together and will miss dinner with my dad for his birthday, and it's entirely possible we'll miss 2 more family get togethers.
