I see, I see! I'll look it up eventually. I just wasn't aware it was an actual thing. I figured it was inflation, quality of interior art, etc. Is there a way to read pirated comics on an iPad that anyone knows of? That's the biggest reason I never used (edit) exclusively, the reason I download digital at all is cause of the convenience of reading on a tablet. It's getting to be an expensive habit, though.

It's ok, just try and be careful.

And yes, there is a thread in the General Comics forum about the increase in the price of comics. I'll try moving these posts over there later. It's a subject I am very interested in and in getting people's thoughts on it, because it's becoming a huge problem.

My answer for comics being too expensive is simple. Read less comics. I used to pick up 12 every month, now I'm down to 4-5 depending on if there's a mini I'm interested in. (And it's only that high b/c ASM is twice a month).

Completely missed the point.

It's not that I can't afford to buy monthly comics. It's that monthly comics aren't worth paying for.

Trades are a different situation, and once I have a tablet, digital might be an alternative too, but I'm done with the disposable market.

That's what I meant by they're too expensive. I buy the comics I buy in singles because I collect those ones. The rest aren't worth paying $4 for and then having in single format. If they were cheaper and I could pick them up, read them and then get rid of them, I might buy more, but that's not the case. So the solution is the same. Only buy the ones you really want (which in your case may be none of them) and there are other options for the rest.
