This is just my own personal head-canon. I know others who feel the same though. A case could easily be made that they occur in a similar, but different DCEU timeline. So I'm calling it the "black label" timeline and making it optional for those who want to binge the DCEU. That way MCU fans who are into PG-13 mainstream Comic Book franchises can enjoy the primary film series and skip the ones intended for mature audiences.I'm just gonna be honest with you:
You're right. It isn't popular because it's wrong and unnecessary. Black Adam ties into Peacemaker. Literally a crossover character between them. The Justice League are in Peacemaker.
Since when does a rating mean anything? The Punisher exists in the same universe as Guardians of the Galaxy.
Easy, similar events, different timeline. Do we know of any hard R rated projects coming up though? What are you gonna do when the DCU starts tying into these DCEU films?
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, a report given to Commissioner James Gordon about the parademon kidnappings is dated 07/29/2017. This is the evening of the day Barry saves Iris, visits his father, then meets Batman and flies to Gotham. Gordon shines the bat signal after receiving the report ("I'll talk to [Batman] tonight."), which they see as they land, then they immediately head to the police station, followed by the harbor. This means the conflict at the harbor must have taken place the night of the 29th, possibly into the early hours of the 30th. The previous day Diana had headed to the Shrine of the Amazons to learn of the Apokoliptians, which was signaled the night before by Hippolyta. The message to Diana was urgent, so it must have been the same date as Steppenwolf's attack on the Penetralium, putting the attack on the 27th.Was just reading the DCEU wiki timeline.
In The Suicide Squad, while the executioner who was torturing Harley Quinn is chatting, the date "lunes, 17 de agosto de 2020" can be read, placing that day on Monday August 17, 2020. The filming of The Suicide Squad was between September 2019 and February 2020, so the date of August 2020 could have been placed purposely since it is not a filming date.
Shortly after the arrival of the second group of Task Force X on Corto Maltese, a banner of "3 days ago" is displayed when Amanda Waller blackmails Bloodsport and he agrees reluctantly to join Task Force X, dating this day on August 12, 2020.
Two days before Harley's torture and Starro's battle, dated on August 17, 2020, occurred the deployment of Task Force X in Corto Maltese and its subsequent confrontation on the beach, placing it on August 15, 2020. The day Harley was captured and the squad met Sol Soria and kidnapped Thinker, the next day, would be dated on August 16, 2020.
Most of the most recent TV Spots has him say "The past FEW years as a superhero-".That DCEU wiki placement of The Suicide Squad works with Shazam!: Fury of the Gods being set two years after Shazam!. It could still be set after that movie and be consistent with the Starro reference, because 2020 is two years after 2018.
