DC TV Universe - Timeline

Added quite a bit of info now! ^_^ (Comic stuff to be added later)

I would appreciate it if someone where to help out with the timecodes for the Island flashbacks or flashbacks in general.

Uh-oh DIB, someone is after your job. Pretty soon he'll have an IDW Transformers timeline before you do. Great job selfishmisery

Thanks! ^_^

Honestly, I haven't read a single IDW Transformers comic yet. :p

They don't really get good until More Than Meets the Eye/Robots in Disguise, but they're so continuity heavy that if you've read everything you have stuff that was brought up in an issue that came out in 2005 comes up in an issue from 2014. DIB's been trying to make a timeline for it, which is crazy given how many continuity errors come up before they're basically all explained in MTME/RID.

Interesting. I've heard the earlier IDW TF comics were sorta "meh" for fans. Good to know the quality has increased tenfold. :)

Honestly, if I were to fit Gotham and Supergirl into the Timeline:

* Season 1 of Gotham would have to take place in 1998 to early 1999, and that's from averaging out the various items and fulfilled purpose in that time period.
-* The usage of cell/flip phones became popular in the very late 90s to early 2000s.
-* Type writers and Reel-to-Real tape recorders were dropped after the year 2000.
-* Dick Grayson would have to be 18 by the year 2016 or 2017, if the Titans show ever comes to fruition. His parents married in the second half of Season 1 of Gotham.
-* The outfits and vehicles are all retro or 90s appeal.
-* Computers and laptops are present.
* Supergirl, that's going to be a toughy. Clark Kent has basically been Superman for around well over 9-10 years. There's going to need to be some serious time-travel shinanegins in Legends of Tomorrow to change it to where he, Supergirl, and aliens in general are well known for a while in the Arrowverse. (Maybe saving baby Superman from Vandal Savage and his Kryptonite knife? It would kinda explain the "[I've] seen Men of Steel die" line from the trailer.)

The Flash 1x18 should be moved after Arrow 3x18. Ray and Felicity are a couple and Felicity knows about Ray's suit in The Flash 1x18. In Arrow, Felicity finds out about the suit in 3x17, the episode ends with Ray in the hospital, and 3x18 follows immediately after that. Hence:

Arrow 3x17, "Suicidal Tendencies"
Arrow 3x18, "Public Enemy"
The Flash 1x18, "All Star Team Up"

Thanks! I corrected it. ^^

Yeah, I've been doing a DC-CW timeline for years:

http://thetimelinesite.com/timelines/27-arrow-the-flash-tv-series-timeline

May want to refer to it, as some episodes follow immediately after the other, for instance the Arrow Season 4 episodes Dark Waters and Blood Debts occur one after the other due to Felicity being shot at end of DW and BD picking up immediately after. Can't always use airing order as chronological order.

Oh...So, where does that leave this thread? What do you suggest I do with my timeline?

That's up to you. Feel free to keep updating it, but I'd definitely recommend re-watching the episodes to double check placements, as like I said, some episodes follow immediately after the previous one, which means you can't necessarily just use airing order to place them.

Also, don't forget the Arrow - Blood Rush webisodes (set between 2x05 and 2x06 I believe).

Hey guys I'm back.

Sorry for being gone so long, I've had no Internet for the past week or so. (Despite the fact that it still shows me that I'm online, because I almost never sign out.)

Done! Thanks for keeping me updated, DIrishB. You did a great job on your timeline. ^_^

Now what about The Flash (1990s TV Series)?

Now what about The Flash (1990s TV Series)?

The 1990 series isn't a part of the timeline. The only reason Supergirl is included is due to the upcoming crossover with Flash. While both the 1990 Flash and Supergirl were included in the flashes seen in the cross through limbo portions of the recent Earth 2 episodes of Flash, I'm not basing their inclusion only on that. Supergirl is firmly a part of that multiverse due to the upcoming crossover with Flash, but I don't view the 1990 Flash series in the same way because we're obviously not going to get such a crossover with that show from 26 years ago. It was just a fun nod/Easter egg, nothing more. ALL the other flashes seen (Grodd, Jonah Hex, future Green Arrow) all have direct ties to the existing shows (except the Legion ring flash, which may or may not be addressed in a future DC-CW show), whereas Supergirl and 1990 Flash show are different universes altogether. Supergirl's inclusion is due to the Flash crossover. The 1990 Flash series has no direct connection beyond the Easter egg nod.

The way I look at it, EVERY DC show potentially exists in some version of a live action DC multiverse for all the existing TV shows, but it would be ludicrous to try to force them all into a single cohesive multiverse timeline. Same rule applies to the 1990 Flash show. It wouldn't make sense to try to force it into the DC-CW timeline merely due to the nod shown in the limbo flash. And, as said, its completely unlikely (to the point of impossible) that they'll ever have a crossover between the 1990 Flash and the current version, whereas its a sure thing for the crossover between modern Flash and Supergirl.

So, I won't be including the 1990 series in the timeline.

Understandable. Just curious since I've seen it brought up a lot in DC CW/TV Universe discussions.

I finally updated this after almost a year. Thankfully, I feel like I accomplished a lot. :)
