Looks like DC released some sketches for Batman Earth 2

Kinda reminds me of this crappy 90's daredevil costume.

Terrible.

What is the point of this universe?

What was the point of eXiles? Or any alternate universe stories for that matter? To tell fun stories with familier characters that can't be done in the regular universe. I'm looking forward to it.

And yes, the "razer" Daredevil costume was terrible.

I didn't mean "what's the point" as in, "justify it's existence". It was a real question - what are they planning to do with this that is different specifically from the regular DCU. I wasn't being facetious. I really don't know anything about it other than Batman's costume sucks.

To be dope yo!!

or whatever the hell kids used in the 90's. Screw it, I'm going back to drawing lesbians.

I can't begin to describe how... redundant it is to reboot your entire line with 52 new titles and costumes and backstory, then a year later, put into that world a parallel universe inside it that has new costumes and backstory.

Designed by the same guy, no less.

Edit: I thought this was the Geoff Johns graphic novel that was supposed to come out, but it's apparently the Robinson Earth 2 book. I'm slightly more interested in that, but it does seem backwards.

E: It's James Robinson, and kind of looks like it's going to be the "legacy" Justice League story he was trying to tell before the reboot. We don't know specifics yet.

That's why I think the reboot was totally unnecessary. You have 52 earths. They should have done this reboot as earth-2 or earth whatever. Utilize what you have. It could have been done like Ultimate Marvel and then the stuff that worked well and "stuck" could have been incorporated into the main line (much like Marvel has done). Everything they are doing now could have been done without a reboot.

And that Batman costume does suck. I'd rather check out pictures of lesbians Jaggyd drew.

New interview.

So, it's not a legacy book. In general, it looks like what a genuine linewide reboot would have actually looked like, compressed into a single ensemble book. Weird, but I'll check it out because Robinson really is good with ensembles.

I actually kind of like this book even though it's corny...but when Alan Scott's fiancé was killed he didn't even mourn or anything. He was barely upset. It was pretty poorly handled.

How does this series compare to the last JSA run? Would you recommend it?

The Geoff Johns JSA run? That's the only one I've ever read. Earth 2 isn't as good but I really liked Johns's JSA so that's not taking anything away from it.
