Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is set for release in Spring 2011, but this time instead of being a full retail game, it will be released as a downloadable title on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Windows PC. Players will again take the role of the same rookie hired in the first game.

USA Today got the first look at the downloadable game. While not many details were revealed, we do know Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime includes four-player local or online gameplay, proton packs and gigantic bosses. Players will also finally be able to drive the Ecto-3, too.

There is one major downside, though. According to the report, none of the actors from the films, such as Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, will appear in the game.

Ok the no original cast is not a bad thing. It would have been but they said you play as the rookie from the first game. The end of the first game you left to open a franchise so this makes sense plus you don't need to get the characters right like last time.

Unless they got new voice actors which will be bad but local Multiplayer!!!:D:D

Edit :
The game, made by Chilian studio Wanako, is a top-down, four-player co-op adventure title which sees the return of the rookie from Ghostbusters: The Videogame that released last year from Atari and Terminal Reality.

So it's not fps this time. huh., could be good.

Update at 3:13 p.m. ET: Just learned players will actually get to drive the Ecto-4WD, not the Ecto-3.

Me and my cousin crossed streams once when we were kids.

Once my parents found out, they wouldn't let us play together any more.
