I'd say it was just one of those ideas that the studio lost interest in, and didn't bother including in their big revamp when they became DC Entertainment.

I'd say it's a safe bet that this definitely isn't going to happen.

I wouldn't necessarily go that far. Clearly their first priorities are going to be Batman and Superman, since the Dark Knight was so successful and they're at risk of losing rights to Superman. And Flash is at the top of their list too, with Johns taking charge of DC Entertainment. There's only so many superhero movies they can feasibly have in production at a time. It might mean that Super Max is off the table, or it might just be on the back burner.
