I wonder, could this be considered the same universe as Payday, with perhaps the US-Russian Coalition being disbanded after the nukes fell on San Francisco and Miami, Jacket's cell surviving the nuke, and San Francisco/Miami being rebuilt in the meantime?

Or is it a divergent timeline, where none of the huge implications of the series apply? Or, a very popular theory, maybe Payday Jacket is a fanboy of the original games and took on the identity of the fictional character.

Divergent timeline or fiction-within-fiction, most likely. I just can't really see the Hotline Miami games working in the Payday timeline, considering the implications and all.

It'd make for an interesting story though, what with all the major alternate history events literally being washed away by the time of the present day somehow. Miami (from Scarface) gets nuked, then rebuilt, and then no one ever talks about it, lol.
Funny thing, Tony being alive in the comics doesn't contradict Payday 2 saying that he supposedly died in the 1980s, since everyone thinks he's dead in the comic too and they're shocked he's still alive. I prefer that to the doppelgänger impersonator thing, plus they call him Tony in the game.

I think I'll link this thread as an "alternate timeline" on the Payday Universe at least.

Now... what about Goat Simulator? :p

Hoo boy... Goat Simulator. Definitely an alternate timeline, if anything.

Also, don't forget to add this thread to the Timeline Hub.

Currently reading the last three issues of Hotline Miami: Wildlife, so will place them when I can.

EDIT: All issues now added. All that's left to add is Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

After almost a month, the timeline is officially finished. To quote Jacket himself in the comics:

"So this is what the end looks like... Beautiful."

Like furman's Transformers comics says "It Never Ends...". Anyway what the next project Will be about?

Ehh, I'll probably try and finish up the Silent Hill timeline for now and after that, I'll focus on getting the JoJo timeline (atleast for Part 2: Battle Tendency, that is) finished.

From there, I'll probably do a timeline for Forbidden Siren, but as I mentioned in the other thread the fact that it plays out in non-linear order makes things rather confusing to follow at times.
