Jurassic Park/World Universe - Timeline

There was also a news report featuring the events of Piranha in The Howling, which has quite a few connections, most notably Gremlins

It IS connected though! Amity Island exists per the latest film. At the Megalodon bar, there is a license plate that reads "AMITYISL" which is a reference to Amity Island as featured in the "Jaws" series.

I'm currently watching the Jurassic Park movies with my brother (who's never seen them before), should I watch this before or after Jurassic World/Camp Cretaceous?

Viewing orders end up being HIGHLY subjective. But if you want to watch things in a chronological fashion, check out my viewing guide. It's heavily based on this timeline thread and should be a good order for a first time viewer who wants to see the complete story.

The majority of it shows the park working before the movie and first few episodes of Camp Cretaceous but the last 2-3 minutes are during the movie so it's upto you if you'd rather pause it and finish it after or save the whole thing for then or watch it first and have the little tease of what's to come, i'd say the latter personally :).

We've decided to keep cutting between Jurassic World and Camp Cretaceous, so we'll also do the cam footage with that

Just checked and it seems fine to me? I don't usually cut out the studio logos (which is why Camp Cretaceous episodes randomly start at 50 seconds or so). Are you watching on a DVD? Sometimes they have speedup that throws the timestamps off. Movie should be close to 2:04:21. :D

Mines 1:59:16? I guess it's just the DVD I'm using, this is gonna be a pain…
 
Actually, do you know at what points in the movie you should switch between (if not it's fine, just don't wanna have to eyeball it)

I've been working on a fanedit that puts the two together anyway so it's not too much trouble, this order is kinda paraphrasing as there's scenes happening literally at the same time where in the timestamps you'd watch like two seconds then switch, watch another few seconds and switch back, and so on, which would be a lot to do physically so this is slightly different but should be easier.

Jurassic World until the scene with Claire in the control room that ends with Lowery knocking his drink over.
Then Camp Cretaceous 1x04 till 4:11 which ends with the counsellors leaving camp.
Back to JW till the scene where after the Indominus escapes, Barry is securing the raptors and ends with Vic (Kingpin) on the phone.
Camp Cretaceous 1x04 till the end of the episode.
JW till the end of the scene with Dr. Wu and Masrani in the lab.
Camp Cretaceous 1x05 till 5:32 when that scene with the counsellors opening the cupboard ends.
JW till Claire's nephews escape the Indominus and crawl out of the water.
Camp Cretaceous 1x05 till 13:40 which ends with the campers leaving the car to enter the lab.
JW till the nephews decide to get the old Jurassic Park car working.
Camp Cretaceous 1x05 till the end of the episode.
JW till the end of the scene of Masrani in the helicopter apologising.
CC 1x06 till Yaz, after arguing with Sammy, says "not not, Bumpy".
JW till the helicopter begins shooting at the Indominus.
CC 1x06 till Bumpy catches up with the campers, watching the helicopter.
JW till the helicopter goes down.
CC 1x06 till they pick up Bumpy.
JW till Claire and Owen duck into the grass.
CC 1x06 till the counsellors drive off in a stolen car.
JW till after Claire finds her nephews, Owen says they have to go.
CC 1x06 till the scene with Darius telling the others when they're on the kayaks saying "Don't worry guys, they're only herbivores."
JW till the end of the scene when the nephews ask if they can stay with Owen.
CC 1x06 till the end of the episode.
CC 1x07 till the scene of the campers on the tram, making cheers with their drinks.
JW till the end of the scene with Owen on a motorbike followed by the ambulance and two raptors passes a sign.
CC 1x07 till end of episode.
CC 1x08 till Brooklynn gives Yaz a walking stick in the tunnels.
JW till Lowery agrees to stay behind at the control centre and sees the others off.
CC 1x08 till Kenji helps Darius up and they hear a roar from outside, they decide to check the crates.
JW till Lowery picks up the dinosaur toy from his desk and shuts the park down.
CC 1x08 till end of episode.
JW final scene.
