This reminds me of my old Batman/Death Note crossover idea which basically revolved around Kira, Batman and L all trying to figure each other out.

Really? Because you know the author and artist are big fans of Brian K. Vaughn, so they have a Runaways cameo towards the end of the manga.

Isn't L meant to be the worlds top 3 detectives, under differrent personas to keep you guessing....so he could very well be batman and the riddler already....you'd never know it.
