It contradicts the theory because it's not a gameplay mechanic, like with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It's part of the story.

The portals themselves are the canon ways to travel the LEGO "multiverse", so even if characters from different IPs but the same universe can't access each other's portals was solely a gameplay mechanic, the portals' existences are not. They made an entire story pack for the LEGO Batman Movie, which could've been accessible with LEGO Movie Batman in the LEGO Movie dimension but they made the decision to not do that, because it's easier to have them as separate dimensions - since they're separate IPs (like the bonus levels suggest - which do have cutscenes and an actual story to them, they aren't purely for gameplay)

The clashing personalities is, of course, the main contradiction - though it isn't unique to this interaction, nor needs the interaction. If they portrayed LEGO Movie Batman as the same Batman, this would be harder to argue around (though it is still evident that two people from different times can exist at the same time, through time travel. This is shown through the contradicting dimensions - Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts, etc - and does work with the time travel shown to us - Back to the Future, Doctor Who, LEGO Ninjago, etc).

While their meet up doesn't necessarily contradict the same-Batman theory, the fact that they are portrayed as separate people does (for obvious reasons)

That Is from a fun pack. You can't access the Story with It, Just the hub world. As for the Story you're supposed to use the starter pack Batman figure.

Fair enough, I assumed it came with the story pack. It is still, however, only compatible with the LEGO Batman Movie dimension, and even then using DC Batman is clearly solely to save money, since the Batman portrayed in the story pack is more goofy (like in the LEGO Movies).

To be honest, I've lost track of what this argument is about. It's been agreed that DC Batman isn't LEGO Movie Batman, so I don't wanna get into a huge argument over the pedantry of evidence

watching LBLotDK and if we go with LB1 + what bd1p uncovered in his videos dates as far as I am in the story are like this:

1968 - Bruce Wayne is born.
1976 - Intro of the game + Wayne's murder
1986 - Bruce and Gordon fight Falcone's men and then Bruce meets Ra's al Ghul.
1987 - Bruce starts his training.
1988 - Bruce finishes his training.
1989 - Chapter 1
1990 - Chapter 2
1998 - Chapter 3

This is what I uncovered so far, it's possible that he could arrive at Ra's monastery the year later so in 1987, finish his training in 1988 and return to Gotham the next year in 1989, but I'm not too sure on that yet.

EDIT: Rewatching his video as it's said that there's the slighty possibility that Superman started his superhero carrer (20BLB) just before Batman, if we considers Year One to be 1989 then it would be 19BYB, it also matches both Sups and Bats' Post-Crisis starting years as 1988 and 1989 respectively.

EDIT 2: chapter 2 doesn't give us how much time passes, but since Joker was Born at the end of chapter 1 and the Batcave Is still in construction, let's Say it's set in the next year.

EDIT 3: Chapter 3 is basically Robin Year One, and again according to the video, the Dick Grayson era goes from 10BLB to 5BLB, seeing asa the chapter started with a timeskip depicting a lot happens, I think it fits.
