I'm just nitpicking, but did anyone notice that her gun arm doesn't turn like a minigun should but that each barrel fires individually?

Yeah, I noticed that too. But it's common in live action japanese sci fi for the barrels to fire individually in sequence, instead of the barrels rotating around a central hub. I'm not entirely sure why, it may just be cheaper to make non moving props, would explain why there's never an unbroken scene with the shots making more than one rotation.

You're probably right, I doubt they get half the budget that a similar Hollywood film would get. Or even a Bollywood movie for that matter.
