I really wish I could get into sports games like that. They seem like a pretty good play value when you do.

I'm not an american football fan but i do love the games.
I can't wait for Madden 07. I felt kinda pissed that the 360 Madden 06 had so many features in other consoles missing but ea said on a video it would not be like that this year thank god.

There is so much replay value in them. Every game is "new". You just got to play it until you get used to it. If you start to pay attention to your stats, you get into it much faster. With all that said, I passed on Madden this year
. Didnt really play last years that much but I sure did play Live and Fight Night.

I haven't played NBA Live in a few years (except for PSP - same for Fight Night).
I am all about the Tiger Woods PGA Tour though. I could play that for hours on end.
Back to Madden - it's awesome. I got it for XBox 360 and will also be picking it up for PSP. The graphics are unbelievable.
I haven't got too much into the new blocking controls...I played 3 games, using my beloved Lions, the Cardinals, & the Dolphins.

I don't know what my problem is lately, but I haven't been able to do anything in this game. I haven't been able to move the ball nor have I been able to stop my opponent.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it makes playing this game a drag.
I don't like feeling that way about a game that costs $60.

I played NBA LIve 2000 (the best year) for 14 seasons before I won the championship. I was so frickin' excited when I did, it was better than anything.
Do you generally play by yourself, or against a friend (or online?)

By myself, sometimes against friends when they come over. I don't play enough to justify spending the money on XBox Live.
I used to set up a Madden tournament with about 15 people every year...we haven't had one in a couple years (I blame all the kids).

I played 3 games of this today and won all of them, and pretty handily. Looks like I've broken out of my slump.
I did something pretty cool this season - I started a franchise mode and changed all teams to user, and that lets me play an entire season (more than one actually) using any team and playing any game I want. Plus it's nice to work toward finishing a season instead of just playing a bunch of exhibition games.
I played 3 games of this today and won all of them, and pretty handily. Looks like I've broken out of my slump.

I picked up Madden 08 today. For anyone thinking of getting this - Toys R Us is running a pretty cool special right now - buy Madden 08 and get any other game of equal or lesser value for 50% off. The only games that aren't eligible are a couple of EA games - I think NBA Live and the dancing one - Boogie I think it's called.
I picked up Mario Party 8.
I won't be able to play Madden until tomorrow, but I'm reading great things about it. Can't wait to dive in.

I just got this yesterday for my birthday and I'm loving it. I thought Madden 07 was pretty good but not great. This has me addicted though.
