After all, the film clearly shows that the anniversary of the victory of the Avengers is being celebrated. This was in May 2012, so Thunderbolts takes place in May 2027. So Judgment Day will begin in July 2028.
Nothing specifically said it was the anniversary. They could have had that benefit at anytime.

Which month of Fall? September, October or November?

I personally, to be more close to fall, I chose August 2027.
which make Doomsday in October 2028, five years after Endgame.

If September 2027, then Doomsday is in November 2028
If October 2027, then Doomsday is in December 2028
If November 2027, then Doomsday is in January 2029
I personally go with October just based off the trees, but that's just a guess given how limited information we have. Right now I just think a placement after Brave New World without a specific month listed is best. Hopefully, Doomsday makes it more clear.

Basically nothing lines up with Bucky's congressional career, unfortunately. We do know there was a Presidential election in 2026, so I don't understand why they didn't just have him win then and take office in January 2027.

I really liked Thunderbolts. Big Bob fan over here.

While I agree that we may have to wait for a more specific placement in doomsday and work backwards not all the trees were edited to look like fall, I believe the trees outside of Red Guardian's house in the trailer were a nice green. So if dependant on the US Location some trees are green and some aren't (and going off of filming locations) then I would be pushing for Late Sep/Early Octover.

I also personally dont think this will be so tight with DD & BNW allowing time for whatever DD S2 is going to do and NYC to allow the watchtowers development. I also think Bucky's congressman timeline is just straight up messy.

John Walker's flashback is set "a few short years" after his unveiling, confirming at least 2027 so I will place that flashback within 2-3 months prior to the movie since it seems pretty ~fresh~ to Walker. I will also be placing it after BNW as it would be fitting for new Cap to do a very public save and the disgraced Cap to have an article written about him. 1746380777451.png

It terms of the desert scenes while yes it is the desert and things are brown and sandy, it was filmed in Utah and grasses still change in different seasons. A majority of natural grasses there do still brown out completely in the late summer / early fall as is shown in the movie.
1746381706939.png while there is a chance this is just hay placed by the production team, they could have made it look like spring (like they did for BNW) if they wanted to.

Not a very solid point but NYC is usually quite sunny in the late spring & summer and this movie was very cloudy there. Now they can still have cloudy days other days but also seemed like the vibe of the movie.

1746382080698.png I know the black is creeping in this photo but in this scene definitely wasn't peak fall IMO.

Ill be placing pseudo flashbacks when it is released digitally since the void flashback scenes are somewhat a flashback to real events (but won't be cutting it out of the present movie).

My final consensus for now is Late Sep 2027.

I'll agree the trees around Red Guaridan's place were green but NWH is November and we can still see fully green trees. IMG_2395.gifIt's that and the clothing characters are wearing in both DC and NYC that look somewhat cooler. I just don't see anything in the movie that would point to Summer. On top of the shot I shared there's another when the Void is engulfing the city where the trees show changing leaves. Late September/Early October is a good guess, I'm personally leaning more in October for now. Which would fit some places still having green leaved trees with others having changed or starting to.

I don't see why you'd ignore the weather when so far there's nothing contradicting it. Until we get anything else, I think the weather is all we have to go off of and it's clearly Fall.
the epilogue of Ant-Man is supposed to occur in December yet it's warm enough for people to wear light clothing outside and the trees are still green

Like the site here, I disagree that the scene is December. The scene is clearly meant to be shortly after the events of the rest of the movie. But, my point is anyway there's nothing in the movie saying that it's Summer. And until there is, Fall makes the most sense. Especially since the movie wasn't shot in the Fall and it looks like it's a purposeful decision. For example, like how there's similar Fall looking weather in establishing shots of Multiverse of Madness.

Luis speaks to the writer chick that says they have superheroes that "crawl up the walls", clearly referring to Spider-Man, who says he had his powers for six months (insert riot here) by Civil War, which also has warmer weather

Given this is a world with a number of enhanced individuals it doesn't have to specifically be a Spider-Man reference. Even if it was intended to be it doesn't fit. That epilogue is very shortly after the climax of the movie, like a week at most. And saying it's 4 months later is a huge stretch done only to force the reference to be Spider-Man. The site here agrees and places the scene in August.

Shouldn't Helstrom be October 2022? There are presidential election references and now the only presidential election happening in blip is in 2022. The 2000/2001 flashbacks being 20 years ago still works and if no one mentioned the snap it means that it became normal that people disappeared just like that. I think the later in the blip the events happen the better. What you think?
I agree to change it

Tom Holland will be a full grown adult by then
Maybe if by that time him and Zendaya have a daughter or something then.... And I'm not necessarily suggesting anything here all that much.... Maybe.... Just maybe..... She could star as a certain someone who's name means "an international radio distress signal used by ships and aircraft" *wink wink wink wink wink wink rapid winking I WANT MAYDAY IN THE MCU FEIGEEEEEE PUT HER IN THE MCU AND MY LIFE IS YOURS*

No, I'm saying the fact the movie wasn't shot in the Fall but they included a few scenes that show leaves changing colors on trees in both DC and NYC means they probably want the movie to be Fall.
I remember the pushback I got for talking about foliage in Doc Strange 2 recently. Be careful, leaves and trees trigger certain people around here who don't count them as timeline evidence (even though anything can be evidence lol).

There is a difference though. With Thunderbolts* this is the only evidence we have, and with MoM the timeline book outweighs the trees which like I mentioned were due to filming in LA over confirming a huge passage of time. Weather isn't always the go to, but when it's all we have it's different. Another example being the Black Widow credit scene. It clearly wasn't shot in Winter, but the context of the scene and later on the timeline book confirm it's happening around the events of Hawkeye in December.

A Bit of Everything's shared his Thunderbolts* video and for now is placing the movie in October 2027. Right around where I currently see it.

Hi all, a new face saying hello. I've been following these threads for over a decade now, starting back in 2014 when I got really properly into the MCU. For those last 10 years nearly every day when I've started university/work I've come on and checked the threads for new comments, or caught up on any pages I've missed. I've seen all 3 transitions to new threads when fresh people have taken over. I've seen all the pointless arguments of recent years which have just made me laugh. I've seen the same Netflix placement discussions pop up year on year.

It's been a nice stable part of the internet over the years (I gave up on reddit), but all that time I never once thought to even create an account myself. But then today I just figured it was about time to create one! I'll still mostly be an observer but just wanted to say thanks to all for keeping this alive. And big props to DIrishB - 2011-2018 (RIP), Lebnyx - 2018-2023, Starvel - 2023-2025, and SoyaCS for the ongoing.

I actually think this is pretty funny, because if it was the other way around Gunn would 100% say the same thing

I don't know if anyone remembers this discussion in an older thread during Loki S1, people were saying that 2023 was the stagnant, concurrent year for the multiverse as a whole because of those little TVA timestamp animations went backwards and forwards from a central point.

Backwards example (12 seconds in):

Forwards example (1 minute 12 seconds in):

...not that it matters to this timeline. However, in regards to what the Marvel Database is saying about the overlap between comic TVA in Marvel Rivals and movie TVA in Loki s1, in spite of differing depictions - there's an indication of when He Who Remains took over and the Multiversal War occurred outside of all this. It's post-Marvel Voices (Infinity Comic) #49, year 16 of Earth-616 per the sliding timescale. (2023 - 15 = 2008 (Year One) - time moves naturally on Earth-199999 without the confines of the sliding timescale that affects 616).

My guess, the "Multiversal War" came about from the "Reckoning War" which was the last TVA major appearance before Marvel Voices.
